It is an early 70s horror film, but I don’t think it’s a Hammer.
That does look a bit like Jessica Harper, so I’ll guess Suspiria despite the timeframe.
Or the original title, Candles, Hoe.

I have to admit, I’m surprised. I thought this would go quick. I can’t believe no-one has seen this flick.
No 100:100 so here’s a bonus pic from the next to last shot before the credits roll:
I’ll give it another hour or so and then reveal the answer.
The Cat O’ Nine Tails? C’mon, it has a cat, right.
Sorry, no, not that either.
The answer: The Legend of Hell House. 1973 British haunted house film, starring Roddy McDowell, Pamela Franklin and Clive Revill. Directed by John Hough, who directed the aforementioned Twins of Evil, and went on to direct the Witch Mountain movies for Disney. Fantastically creepy and atmospheric, up there with Let’s Scare Jessica To Death, The Changeling and Don’t Look Now for best 70’s horror movie. I highly recommend the experience.
Soooo, I guess I get to go again…I’ll post in a bit. Gotta find another movie…
Oh I think I read that book, it’s by Richard Matheson right?
This was a good 20:20, no one guessed it but it seems like quite a few of us thought we had it and in the end it looks like a film I want to check out and a director who sounds interesting!
Win:win !
Jeffrey Tambor is in that movie?? I might actually give it a watch!
Ding! Right answer!
Oh I think I read that book, it’s by Richard Matheson right?
Yeah, I forgot to mention that. He wrote the screenplay as well.
He was a blast in it, too. I really enjoyed it. And as a (lousy) high school wrestler myself, I could appreciate the moves of Alex Shaffer.
Oh, shoot, I got it? Damn.
I didn’t check this thread before bed, and now I’m at work. Will get another film up tonight.
