From what I remember, there’s a scene set in a bar where you can clearly see modern cars driving by on the street. I figure after seeing the level of sloppiness he could get away with while directing a freaking Best Picture, Ridley Scott pretty much just said, “Meh. Don’t sweat the small stuff.”
That or he didn’t notice.
