I want a Remains of the Day lunch box.
“Well shut my big nasty mouth!” Been a good while since I saw that movie. I love the way her dress looks in that picture.

Nope. What the hell is that?

A mockumentary about a Scottish hair dresser who goes to America to compete in a hair cutting competition.
Should I see it? Your guess is now quite amusing, btw. :)

Nah, although I think that Craig Ferguson guy stars in it, so maybe if you like his show?
I don’t really watch those shows, but I do like Craig Ferguson. I’ll take your ‘nah’ and trust it. Thanks.

Ohhhh…is that Incident at Loch Ness?
WTG, Docpa! I apologize for sneaking in a documentary–I know some folks around here don’t view those as actual movies–but I just saw this again recently to prep for a different Zak Penn experience, so it was fresh.

“At least we’re not dragging the boat over a hill.”
Well, it’s a mockumentary…those don’t count. Course, I think documentaries certainly do count as “movies”, so…
Here’s a new 20:
Dammit. You guys need to stop watching so many movies.
Australian convenience stores are bleak man, heck, they don’t even include a price for the cigarettes they’re advertising!
Incident at Loch Ness?
edit: ha ha ha… my browser wasn’t showing the last few posts until just now.
Okay, none of you big fat honkin’ jerks jump on my victory this time! I’ll have a frame up before tomorrow.
That’s such a great image, though. Perfect for the 20:20 game, because anyone who’s seen Snowtown will have all the information he needs to guess the movie. The couch, the vandalized windows, the bleak naturalistic cinematography.
Did you like the movie, charmtrap? It’s certainly a tough watch.

Good point. Forget I said that!
It’s definitely one of those movies, like I Saw The Devil or Happiness or Requiem For a Dream. I’m ecstatically glad I saw it and I hope I never see it again.
People need to stop including Requiem for a Dream in lists like that. Especially people like you, charmtrap. I don’t believe you hope to never see it again. It’s just too amazing.
Crap. Snowtown isn’t available on Netflix yet.

I dunno what to say. I saw it when it was released in the theater knowing nothing about it except the title. It was a thrilling but scarring experience. I’ve not seen it since and I currently have no plans to. I fully acknowledge the film’s brilliance and bravura-ness and I love every inch of Arnofsky’s work, but the degradation those characters go through by the end was brutal to watch. I find it hard to put myself in the frame of mind to want to go back there.
