Okay. I thought you were being glib, but clearly you have strong feelings about this. I can respect that.

I think because it’s one of my favorite movie scores and I listen to it so much I kind of get primed to watch it every so often. You’re right about how difficult it is to go through that character degradation every time, but I just get transported by this movie. The way it looks, the sound design, the score, and of course the acting. I can’t help but return to it.

Also I get sucked into watching the whole thing almost every time I consider looking at a scene for a 3x3.

You’ve made me think. I wonder if there’s a movie I love–or see as brilliant and full of “bravura-ness”–that I would never want to watch again. I know I’ve said that statement too, I’m just wracking my brain to come up with a title.

“In the end it’s all nice.”

Kids. I’m not sure if it was brilliant, but it was hellish to watch and I never want to see it again.

Fat? Honkin and jerk, okay fine. But FAT? Sheesh, remind me never to cross Mr. Chick!

Also, at the 20:20 of what film where you find this image. No fair peeking at the URL!*

*haha, psyche!

Bigger, Stronger, Fatter?

Charly?

That’s from Fat Maus.

Kids would be up there for sure. I’ve actually never quite made it through the whole thing. Too scary and depressing.

I might put up Schindler’s List if I hadn’t already seen it twice. But I doubt I’ll watch it again.

Sounds like a future 3x3.

In what movie will you see this at the 20:20?

As usual, no fair peeking at the image name.

Hey look it’s Kate Ellen Beckinpage

Girl, 70s style phone. Some sort of 80s horror movie. Halloween?

That’s House of the Devil, right?

How dare you! How dare you!

You betcha! The 40:40, featuring Mary Woronov.

The 60:60, featuring one of the abominations of the 70s. Namely, the jeans women were obliged to wear.

And the 80:80 half featuring AJ Bowen, who everyone who liked House of the Devil should see in The Signal and A Horrible Way to Die, both on Netflix instant view.

I was going to do A Horrible Way to Die, but I know no one has seen that, and given the camerawork (which is awesome, BTW), the stills would likely just be blobs or shadows.

Over to you, JPR!

Sorry, I’m too squeamish for films of that ilk. That’s Jocelin Donahue though?

PRETTY.

Aww, man. Finally a movie I’ve actually seen and would have guessed, but I was sure I was wrong and that House of The Devil had already been done earlier in the thread.

I just managed to miss it being posted. Like I always do, with the few movies I can actually identify.

Sorry for the delay, guys. Here is the new 20:20.

Let the right one in?

Nope.

What the heck kind of aspect ratio is that? I call shenanigans!

-Tom

I’m going with 2.35:1?
