The 40:40. (There is no 60:60)

BK >>> CC.

Seven Chances.

(I haven’t seen it, but that’s totally Buster Keaton and he only has so many <60 minute movies.)

Ding ding! You only needed one chance.

Obviously not as good as the amazing Chris O’Donnell (sort of) version. LOL.

This one should be interesting. I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t be able to recognize this movie from these screens (maybe the 60:60), but y’all are definitely better at this than I am.

20:20

Candyman

…so like I said, y’all are better at this than me.

40:40

60:60

80:80

Me, I would have needed an actual shot of the Candyman himself. Or bees.

Yeah, I just happened to see that scene when I was going through Netflix looking for a decent horror movie to watch. That was really the only scene I watched too :-)

New 20

You really should give the whole thing a shot. It’s a classic.

Red Eye?

Morning Glory?

Oh, oops…forgot I had the conch.

Yes, it is Morning Glory. Not very good, but you guys are getting the Netflix rentals now.

Yay! Been a while since I got to do this:

No. Buster Keaton is more fashionable in an age that disparages sentimentality, but I don’t think he surpassed The Gold Rush, City Lights, Modern Times. Maybe he equalled them in his best work.

This should make things a lot easier, and the 80:80 is a dead giveaway.

Haywire!

-Tom

Correct. Unlike some people, I dug the hell out of it. I can watch Gina Carrano beat people up all day, and Soderbergh shoots the hell out of it.

Here’s the 80:80 for good measure.

Love that movie. Absolutely love it. Action scenes shot at full frame rather than in extreme close-up? More please!
