Good guess, but believe it or not, that is not Australia in those images.

Dust Devil …

Nicely done, Joel. Was it the clue that gave it away? Dust Devil was shot in Namibia, standing in for South Africa, I believe.

The 60:60, from a car wreck sequence in which errant cattle run around.

And the pretty memorable 80:80, where you can’t quite tell she’s got a shotgun over her shoulder.

Netflix only has the wretched pan-and-scan aspect ratio. Poor Richard Stanley. But someone mentioned Hardware upthread, so I figured I’d give Dust Devil a run.

Over to you, Joel, whenever you’re ready!

-Tom

Yup - the clue made it click for me. I’ve only seen the truncated cut, and have been meaning to check out the director’s cut.

Okay, I don’t think this one’s been done. 20-20:

The American Friend

Yup! 40:40 would’ve been harder to identify:

And here’s 60:60.

60:60 is great, Nick Ray and Hopper together on-screen at last eh.

20:20

Softball, but I’ll take it – Howard the Duck. What a ridiculous flick.

haha yup

Well, I won’t increase the difficulty too much here. In what movie will you find this mystery actor at roughly twenty minutes in?

Man, that looks like Richard Dreyfuss with a beard.

No, I don’t think so. That guy has glasses on.

-Tom

That guy looks like Don Norman, the usability and user error expert that has trouble with doors.

But…he almost always wears glasses!?!

Is that Nuts?

Either that or you are, yes! I chose it almost completely for the 40:40. You can’t make this up, this is clearly the movie the frame game was made for:

I do, however, like that the 60:60 catches The Electric Grandmother:

The last two are both of the star. No need for both of them, so I choose you, 100:100:

Derp, forgot.

New 20:

The Ring!

Too googleable :)

Winner is you!
