Why the heck would you guess that right off the bat? Do you think the only movie in which a freakin’ scuba diver bobs in the water at the 20-minute mark is Open Water? Dude, plenty of movies have scuba divers in them! Why wouldn’t you guess The Deep, Into the Blue, Life Aquatic, Dark Tide, or Into the Blue 2? Your guess in a pathetic failure of imagination.

It’s also correct, but that doesn’t invalidate any point I was trying to make.

I’m guessing – unlike me – you’ve never seen Open Water 2, because you’d know a) no one wore a wet suit in that movie, and b) they forgot to lower the ladder, and there’s an obvious ladder handle in my 20:20. Duh.
