If you have a very good knowledge of J-pop musicians, you might be able to recognize somebody there.

That’s the last one, although the movie feels much, much longer than that because it is really quite boring.

I’ll let it sit for a while, and then move onto a better, and easier, movie.

Is internet sleuthing allowed? I recognize the musician in question, but don’t want to betray the spirit of the game.

Sure, why not? I basically considered using this movie a cheat anyways. I even had a hint prepared:

Credits:

Moon Child?

Correct! Written by and starring Gackt! About a gang of orphans, and a vampire, kind of. It’s honestly kind of incomprehensible, and very, very boring when it isn’t. It kind of barely counts, since I don’t know that it was ever released in theaters, but it apparently showed at Cannes Film Festival, so I guess it has that.

You can take the next one, if you want to. Like I said, I have a real entry lined up that will get guessed pretty quick if you don’t.

I recognized Gackt, and a quick perusal of his IMDB page gave me the answer. The movie sounds both awesome and terrible at the same time.

Go ahead and post your second – I won’t be able to post one for a while.

Ok! New movie that’s totally get-able this time!

20:20

Mission Impossible 3. Boom!

TimElhajj knows what time it is.

Not MI: anything.

The first image is a bit of a swerve. The second image gives it away though.

40:40

Stranger Than Fiction.

Yup! I didn’t bother grabbing any screens after that one, since I figured somebody would get it right away.

I caught it on DVD a while after release, and rather liked it, although I admit I have no idea what the consensus on it is.

The consensus on Stranger than Fiction is that Maggie Gyllenhaal is awesome.

-Tom

I liked Stranger Than Fiction too. Trailer looked awful but I caught it on F/X a few years back and enjoyed it.

20:20

Hi, Juno Temple! Man, I loved Killer Joe! That might be on my top ten this year.

-Tom

That is her but nope. Like the last movie this first image is also a bit of a swerve and should be easily surmise by the other frames.

Hey, wait, that’s from Dark Knight Rises, isn’t it? Sneaky.

-Tom

Yes, yes it is. All the other frames are pretty obvious. Got a little bit lucky that the 20:20 had a cut in it that made it slightly more difficulty or else it would’ve been obvious too.

In what movie will you see this at the 20:20 mark?

-Tom

The Thing, maybe?

Ooh! The Grey? Is that on Instant now? Sweet!
