Finger Lickin’ Good: the Youth of Colonel Sanders
Quoting so it can live in your nightmares.
This is the surprisingly good film from the original Horrorfest: Gravedancers
While we are in October, continuing with the hidden gems of horror theme:

Correct
The one right above is Trick r Treat.
Well done, that movie deserves a lot more credit than it gets between it not making it into theaters and the great critical reviews.
Oh. Yeah. Now I remember that one. I didn’t really care for the movie too much, mainly because the ending really disappointed me. But that image is definitely striking, it’s stuck with me way after the movie was forgotten.

I agree the movie had a few good moments, but overall had a “Sci-Fi Movie” feel, especially the end. Also some of the practical effects were flubbed, like being able to see the cable that pulls a coffin out of a grave.
Is that Spirits Of The Dead? The last frame looks like Fellini’s “Toby Dammit” section.
Correct! Toby Dammit it is! Excellent work sir! Fellini’s Devil girl was the last frame.
What can I say? I knows my Fellini.
Let’s see if anybody gets this one:

EDIT: Well, that didn’t take long - it’s The Phantom Of Liberty by Luis Bunuel.

Bunuel’s Phantom of Liberty
OMG, what the hell is giong on in this frame. Are those people pooping! Is that a little girl on the middle left side of the frame? Is this some sort of board room? Why is that man lowering his pants. My god.
Bunuel was a crazy surrealist who made politically charged attacks against the bourgeoisie of Europe. You’ve probably at least heard of his famous Dali collaboration, Un Chien Andalou - aka the movie where a woman gets her eyeball sliced open with a straight razor.
The Phantom Of Liberty was his second-to-last movie, made in France where he lived for the end of his life. It’s a non-narrative movie that is basically a series of sketches attacking or making fun of various aspects of 70s French culture, with a little foot-fetishism thrown in for good measure. If you ever saw the movie Slacker, Linklatter totally lifted the structure from The Phantom Of Liberty.

Ouch! I have very pedestrian tastes. Sometimes I feel a little ashamed, but I guess one good thing is I never have to see that sort of thing. One of the Qt3 movie clubs involved a man eating lesbian zombies who were cannibals or something. I was like, Yeah, wearing the beret is a lot to ask!
