Using the White House method, we can conclude that Trump’s election has caused: a surge in inflammatory bowel disease and erectile dysfunction and, at the same time, record-high levels of chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis.
We can conclude with confidence that attempts to repeal Obamacare have caused the deadly forest fires in California.

A divided U.S. Supreme Court let President Donald Trump’s travel ban take full effect while legal challenges go forward, handing him a major victory and suggesting the court ultimately will uphold the restrictions, Bloomberg News reports.
Trump will now be able to bar or restrict entry by people from six mostly Muslim countries, even if they have a relationship with a U.S.-based person or institution. The order effectively supersedes a compromise the justices reached in June, when they let an earlier version of the ban take partial effect but exempted people with a “bona fide” U.S. connection.

I’ll note that the decision was 7-2. At least there are a few liberal judges still out there that actually don’t believe they can pull whatever law they want out of their asses. Color me shocked.
Yes, it’s merely bad policy, not technically unconstitutional in its current form.
It’s funny though, that this was originally supposed to be a 90 day ban, while they “figured stuff out”.
Given that it’s now been over 300 days, there really no reason for this ban to still be necessary. Anything it was supposed to be buying time for, should already have been done.
But of course, nothing was done.
Because this was never about any real coherent policy. It never promised to accomplish anything.
I mean it promised to ban some portion of brown people from coming into #Trumpmerica2017, much to the delight of the racist shitfucks who voted for the guy. Oh hey, there’s one now!

Jesus Christ… The New York Times has a piece about about a June White House meeting where, according to six officials, a furious Trump, frustrated at his inability fortify the country’s borders, shared some evil thoughts about immigrants:
Haiti had sent 15,000 people. They “all have AIDS,” he grumbled, according to one person who attended the meeting and another person who was briefed about it by a different person who was there.
Forty thousand had come from Nigeria, Mr. Trump added. Once they had seen the United States, they would never “go back to their huts” in Africa, recalled the two officials, who asked for anonymity to discuss a sensitive conversation in the Oval Office.
Everyone believes that Trump said those things, whether they are honest enough to admit it or not.
Even if they admit it that doesn’t mean they disagree or care.
I think banning scientists from coming to America is fine with Trump. His administration wants to ban science not just scientists.
