Which is the only season on Netflix, almost as though they knew.

(Nevermind, if you’re just looking for the shows that have come to Netflix, it looks like Halt is not one of them.)
This was a very interesting and disturbing show. Its templated I think over Everybody Loves Raymond but you can pick other similar man-child shows from the 90’s. The funny (well disturbing) thing about the tone transitions is that he comes off as scary. I keep expecting him to lash out at her.

Many of the stories in the book are actually pretty good. A lot of the tales are retellings of stories you might hear told around the fireplaces in those times (both european and oriental) including a couple of those also found in the Canterbury tales. They’re a bit hit and miss (unsurprisingly, given the number and the difference in time), but overall quite amusing.
Recently watched the six part series: Wyatt Earp and the Cowboy War. It has the distinction to be a documentary style with historical narrators as well as decent acting and movie aesthetics for a documentary. May not be interesting to anyone that isn’t already into that part of history.
Bodkin is a watchable mystery/black comedy featuring an American podcaster and a sarcastic Irish reporter in set in rural Ireland. Binged till 2 am. First episode I was not sure what I was getting into but the humor started to seep in.
If I have a small complaint, I hate extended hallucination scenes.
Bodkin was excellent, highly recommend.
On the AMC shows, the Daryl spinoff Walking Dead show was the best of the bunch, and a new season is coming soon. The Rick & Michonne one was OK, interesting concept and deeper look into the CRM which was great, but the actual Rick and Michonne stuff was pretty meh.
Dark Winds, The Terror and Hell on Wheels are all excellent, highly recommend all of them.
I’ve been watching Season Three (the final season apparently) of Sweettooth and the show has definitely grown on me over the three seasons. The first season was a little weird and sometimes goofy, but the whole post-apocalyptic vibe of The Sick, the hybrids, The Last Men, etc. was pretty good so it kept me engaged. Then you get attached to the characters and oh man…Season Two and now Season Three take full advantage of that attachment.
Gotta get back to Season 3 of Sweet Tooth. My kid and I really enjoyed the first 2 seasons but we both thought the 3rd would be, uh, long in the tooth so didn’t try it…sounds like we may have to do that.
No one here seems to have mentioned KAOS? I just finished the first episode, and it’s pretty fun. It kind of seems to be ‘it’s the modern day, but what if the Greek religion never died out, and that’s how the world works’. Stacked cast, with Jeff Goldblum essentially reprising his Thor character (as Zeus), David Thewlis, Billie Piper, a whole bunch more. Curious to see where it goes.

In case it’s still on Netflix and no one watched it yet, Issa Rae’s Insecure is pretty great. I need to finish watching it because I watched while it was on HBO/Max up to a point then unsubscribed sometime close to the end of Season 4. There’s a (final) Season 5 I believe.
The wife and I finished all 8 episodes of KAOS. It’s an interesting take on Greek mythology that could have missed the mark in so many ways. But it works. I wasn’t quite sure how they were going to end it but they mostly stuck the landing.
