I like Chris Elliot. Sue me.
I do too! Kinda. Just in very small doses. A little goes a long way. Like Marmite, and anchovies, except maybe a little less satisfying.
It doesn’t help that I find both Eugene Levy and Catherine OHara completely unfunny. Hell, about the only funny thing to ever come out of SCTV was John Candy, and even he was marginal.

You should absolutely pick up Parks & Rec at season 2. It particularly picks up steam when Rob Lowe and Adam Scott come into the picture.

I think people who will end up watching P&R should start with season 1. It helps to hit the ground running in 2. There are some solid comedic and character moments in the first several episodes, and my favorite Ron Swanson retort in the show. The only thing they really get wrong is not realizing they have Chris Pratt, so he just plays a killjoy boyfriend instead of a proper comedic character.
Who hurt you? Were they Canadian??
Oh come on. Fish Police, anyone?
I’m sorry, but if you don’t like Bob and Doug McKenzie from the Great White North, imma hafta ask you to take off, eh!
Okay, fair point. Strange Brew is good stuff.

Itaewon Class is a watchable Korean drama. I am up to episode 5. I had the vague sense it was going to be a bunch of punks streetfighting from the pictures but it is not. It is also not a school life drama.
It starts as a revenge drama. What seems interesting about this show is the side characters are all interesting.
Most interesting character by episode 3-4:
There’s an Alice from Luther psycho who hangs around with the MC.
Yea time to get freaked out by creepy little girls and dolls people. New ‘The Haunting’ season coming.

Add long haired women in dresses and you have a trifecta.

This may belong in the Movies forum. It’s so hard to tell with you young people and your streamings and yoohootubes and instantgrams and tic tacs. But it looks awesome anyway.
If nothing else that’s an interesting intepretation of an old Motley Crue song.
Its a long ways off still but apparently Netflix has the rights to Conan.
Conan is classic stuff, but from another era, and having read Howard back in the day, I can’t imagine they’ll find it easy to make a popular series from it. Not without some serious cultural updating, anyway.

Which I am sure they will do. Frankly anything that falls under the early years of the fantasy or sci fi genres is going to need quite a bit of polish.

Did anyone watch that Conan movie with Momoa? That wasn’t too long ago. But I never saw it, so don’t know if they attempted to adapt it to modern sensibilities.

I think Conan Exiles’ success is a pretty good indication that a new TV series could do just fine, as far as the cultural stuff Scott refers to is concerned.
You mean the game where slavery is a core gameplay mechanic?
