Pirates of the Imitation Game

Bend it like Beckham?

Nope and nope.

Laggies, right?

Yup. It’s not quite as charming as Lynn Shelton’s other movies, but it’s perhaps it’s because it’s the first movie she directed that she didn’t write. Still, great cast with Elizabeth Swann, Hit Girl, and Guy Fleegman. Plus, they filmed it really freaking close to my house. Like, I was pissed when I realized that Keira Knightley had been so close.

Yeah me!

A new 20:20

I see what you did there.

Is that Girl with a Pearl Earring?

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest. I’m not sure if that trash is modern or not, though.

These two guesses are incorrect; xtien’s comment is ignored, for now.

The 40/40

Breach!

It’s another one of them damn Asian movies that I’ve never heard of again!

Without knowing you, I’d venture this is the closest guess yet. You may be aware of another movie from this same screenwriter - it is acclaimed/known enough that a US remake is in the works…

I really like the set from that first shot. I look at that water(?) and go, “blech! I’d never want to be in that water.”

I love that first frame.

Ehhh… is it Infernal Affairs?

Nope. Right continent though.

Here are a couple more. Doubt they’ll help, so I may be headed for a loss.

The 60

The 80 (a recognizable face?)

Is it I Saw the Devil?

Oh, that’s what’s-his-face from Oldboy, right? Is it The New World?
