You’re up mattutor.
Dang. I have always had a crush on Ellen Barkin and her crooked mouth.
This movie has one of cinema’s sexiest scenes when Dennis Quaid meets her cat…
lucky guess… I don’t know that many Ellen Barkin movies from that period, and I only knew for sure it wasn’t Diner…
A change of pace with new 20/20:

It’s a crappy horror movie starring Sophie Turner, which I remember almost nothing about except that Jonathan Rhys-Meyers is in it. I haven’t seen From Paris With Love, so I took a stab when I thought I recognized him.
Has a certain Mala Noche look to it, but everyone’s too white.
I’m guessing it’s someone’s early work, though.
Djscman, you are correct! One of Bresson’s classics. Do people still care about him?

I hope so? I saw this once in a film class long ago. I’d like to see it again sometime, but it doesn’t seem to be Netflix-streaming-ready. Same with another French New Wave movie I liked, Cleo from 5 to 7, which was available for like two weeks before disappearing.
I will try to get a new frame up sometime today. Cross-referencing the list of movies that has already been done is starting to require a Cray.

I think this movie might be IDed quickly. But it’s a movie that’s been on my mind lately.

That’s right, Gordon, it’s Up In The Air. It was made back when the economy was awful and Jason Reitman only made good movies.
The 40:40, an over the shoulder two-shot featuring George Clooney’s comic or “sinister” profile
The 60:60, an over the shoulder two-shot featuring George Clooney’s comic or “sinister” profile
The 80:80, an over the shoulder two-shot featuring George Clooney’s comic or “sinister” profile
The 100:100, highlighting Clooney’s tragic or “dextrous” profile
And a full-on low angle wide shot from a deleted scene, indicating that Clooney is increasingly isolated from humanity. It also reveals that the scene with Sam Elliott as the magical pilot is a dream sequence. Finally, it foreshadows Clooney’s role in Gravity.
Gordon Cameron, you have the conch.
That outfit screams Marty McFly. Back to the Future? But that’s not quite right.
