I suspect this won’t go beyond the 40:40, but hopefully people don’t google.
20:20:

I trust people in general do not.
I like that frame a lot, sinnick.

Aw, man, I totally would have gotten The Reef from the 40:40. I’m just going to pretend that I won, but that I let Kemper take my turn. You’re welcome, Kemper.
Seriously, though, why would you rapid fire through all the frames like that instead of giving people a chance to guess? If you don’t like the frames, or if you don’t have confidence that it’s a good pick for the game, pick a different movie. That 40:40 from The Reef is good, because anyone’s seen the movie will see over half of the cast as well as important plot devices like the scuba mask and the floaty boards.

Oh man, I totally know this, but I can’t be sure of the movie. Is it Parallax View?

Wow, nice pull Tom. You got it in one. I didn’t think anyone would remember that early kids train ride scene. Heck, I didn’t remember it, and I watched this just the other week.
Here’s the 40:40, a beautiful man with some beautiful hair:

The 60:60, a suspect, about to be tailed:

The 80:80, a call to send a bad guy on a wild goose chase:

And the final frame, where credits play over the faceless star chamber that controls the US government:

I left the first frame for over 12 hours and got little interest, the next one admittedly for only 7 hours, but it didn’t seem like it was getting much attention. I skipped the 60 because on my monitor you can’t see a thing, and I’ve seen you skip over poor frames before (blurry / indistinct shots).
Anyway, my bad, it’s been a while since I had to pick so I’ve forgotten all the rules.
Well, far be it from me invoke something as restrictive as possible rules and get jeered at again, but it’s more a matter of just letting the most people play. I mean, I guess it comes down to whoever wins can do whatever he wants. But it looked to me like you just gave up and posted all of your shots in a row before anyone had guessed the movie. Which is a terrible thing to do to a perfectly cromulent 40:40!
Sweet! I watched this a few months ago maybe for the first time ever. I’d certainly heard of it, but as I watched it unfold, it didn’t have the ring of familiarity of something I’d seen when I was a kid. And, yeah, that scene of them in the kiddie train certainly stuck out for me. Two adults, discussing a possible murder plot, riding on the kiddie train. Whee!
Lemme go find a movie. I’ll post something before tomorrow night.

I hope you at least appreciated the Gary Whitta sighting in Atari Game Over.
In what movie will you see this at the 20:20?
-Tom
Looks like Lou Gosset Jr. at school? Left Behind: World at War?
I’m afraid that is not a correct guess.

this looks like a scene from Amistad?
In what movie will you see this at the 40:40?

Is that A Hijacking? Er, I mean, Kapringen?
It is indeed A Hijacking! I’m glad you got it, because the rest of the frames are pretty much variations on the 40:40. Here’s the 60:60, in which the fantastic Soren Malling shares the screen with a red-haired dude.
And here’s more Malling and his ginger friend in the 80:80.
From those images – which I shouldn’t have blown up so big…urk – you’d think it’s a cheap movie about a couple of guys in an office. But there’s some really grueling shipside stuff going on simultaneously that you don’t see in the frames. And as a story about Somali pirates taking ships, it’s a far better movie than Captain Phillips.
Over to you, fire!

Yay!
In what movie will you see this at the 20:20 mark?
That’s the totally-not-creepy-I’m-going-to-slowly-drive-by-a-playground-and-talk-to-little-girls-because-I’m-a-scientist scene from Eva.

Holy cats, Woolen. It is indeed Eva, Christien’s under in last week’s Over-Under for Ex Machina. You’ve got the conch!

Whoa. That 40:40 frame is awesome.
