It is indeed The Quiet Man! I didn’t think it would take long, but that was blazing! Well done!

The rest of the shots

[spoiler]The 40:40 with the lovely Maureen O’Hara

The 60:60 as our leads start dating. No patty fingers if you please.

Here’s the 80:80 on a turbulent wedding day

At the 100:100 we have Sean Thornton looking for some guidance.

And finally the 120:120 with a couple men of the cloth enjoying the big fight at the end.

Over to you Christien!

So the question is… WHY DID YOU?

Tom probably saw that one of the characters was named Rayford Steele and assumed there would be a lot of pretty ladies getting naked in it.

Dude, I watch soooo many bad movies. It’s one of my vices. I love bad movies. Some people listen to talk radio, watch soap operas, or read trashy novels. I watch bad movies.

Imagine my surprise when all the Bible talk started up!

Cloud Atlas?

A winnar is Wholly Schmidt!

Color me surprised! And not just because it’s a shot of the back of the actors’ heads. I thought I was the only one who watched that movie (and liked it, btw).

sixty-one (Hey Tom, where’s Wilson?):

Finally…deep breath…the one-forty(!):

You have the conch, Wholly!

“No matter what you do it will never amount to anything more than a single drop in a limitless ocean.”

You may still be the only one who liked it! For whatever reason, that guy on the left and that Jim Broadbent-shaped head on the right were enough for me to immediately recall that scene, and specifically what happens to the guy on the left.

I’ll try to pick out a new movie tonight.

I thought the novel was fantastic and was pretty sure that any movie of it would be doomed to failure. I felt that the movie did an okay job of presenting something that was highly dependent upon its original media of the written word.

Well this choice isn’t the best, but you can all enjoy shrugging at the 20 20 for a few hours before identifying it at the 40.

20:20

X-Men: The Last Stand?

Ratner fan!

-xtien

Was it you that had this as your over on the last podcast? I couldn’t remember who picked that, but that’s what got it in my head. Correct!

Enjoy some fuzzy Jackman, and then a blurry mutant. And remind me not to try this with HBO Now in a browser window again, the quality is not so hot.

40:40

60:60

80:80

Is the 80 where Magneto has a very large bunch of mutants whose only superpower appears to be yelling and running as they are gunned down? Sort of like all those robots that Ultron built in the Avengers.

Nooooooo. It was not me that picked it for my over. My over was a weird choice. I’m not a fan of this movie at all. It makes me angry. And you wouldn’t like me when I’m angry.

As for the frame quality, I think that first one is a great looking frame and it immediately brought to mind that black-site truck where they were containing Mystique.

-xtien

Aww geez! This has been a weird week and I let this slip again. Sorry folks.

I’ll have a new frame up shortly.

Hmm, Raid: The Redemption?

-Tom

I’m going to go out on a limb and guess Maria Full of Grace

Tropa de Elite/Elite Squad? That building in the back looks kind of Favela-y.

Nobody’s gotten it yet. Although I love that Maria Full of Grace guess.
