Pacino? He has an impressive list of credits. I have no idea which one that is.

I hope that’s the one where Itzhak Perlman plays the tango on the violin.

Onto the 40

20:20 looks like Daniel Auteuil to me… he made so many films, don’t know which one that is. Not even sure it is Auteuil…

Danieul Auteuil is not correct, but is much closer than Pacino.

My perfect score is tarnished, oh no!

I just keep doing a double take at the crazy mutant on the right in the 20:20 before realizing it’s two different people. That’s thrown me every time I look at the frame.

Irma Vep?

Baren, you are correct!

If Maggie Cheung’s face in the 40 was not clue enough, I imagine this was not going to be guessed.

The (blurry) 60

The 80

The mistaken actor in the 20 is Jean-Pierre Léaud, longtime French actor, probably still best known as the lead in the classic The 400 Blows - you know, this guy:

Irma Vep was interesting. I liked its skewering of the self-important artistic types in French cinema, contrasted with Chung’s casual professionalism. I absolutely did not expect that ending!

And now for our next flick.

20:20

The Past?

Nyet, not The Past.

40:40

Is that Elite Squad 2?

-Tom

It is Elite Squad 2. One of those great little Netflix discoveries. The director of which went on to make Robocop.

60:60

80:80

100:100

Just a heads-up that Tom has moved this game into the new 2015 thread:
Why doesn’t the year 2015 have its own 20:20 thread? Well it does now!

Re: Laggies

This is now on Amazon Prime and it is really good IMO. Helps if you have ever been lost in your adult life. Also, you left out Sam Rockwell! Such a great cast and everybody feels (mostly) real - even the phony friends (because they really can’t help being who they are). It is interesting that the friends are the people who are trapped in the past and Keira is just lost, but manages to find herself by hanging out with a bunch of teens.

Ugh, I thought Laggies was horribly precocious mid-life crisis dreck. Like Young Adult, but without Charlize Theron’s performance to elevate it. Chloe Grace Moretz is as lost as ever, Keira Knightly is as annoying as ever, and Sam Rockwell’s easy charm is entirely wasted with nothing to bounce off. This is easily Lynn Shelton’s worst movie, which is quite an accomplishment considering Touchy Feely is also pretty bad.
