I love Nicolas Winding Refn, but this movie taxed my patience.

I watched it last night, and I kinda want to slip it in again just to rewatch that causeway fight.
And Chris Evans is so frickin’ good in these movies.
Only God Forgives kind of seemed like an expiriment in seeing how much a movie can break the editing maxim about entering a scene as late as possible and leaving as early as possible.
Turns out it exists for a good reason.
Okay. This took me right back into the movie and gave me a huge laugh. Thank you Sören.

I gotta admit I can’t remember exactly what the etiquette is on looking things up; I saw the 20:20 and thought “I know that guy from somewhere”. I slept on it last night, and this morning when I looked again I remembered he was on Sons of Anarchy, so I looked him up and figured out it was William Lucking, and Contraband was his only recent movie credit. In my defense, if I knew right away who that was I would not have gone straight to IMDB, and when I did look him up, if he’d been a bunch of movies, I would’ve only guessed once. I felt like there was a little skill involved in having to think overnight to identify the actor.
As penance, have an easy one. Hah, who am I kidding? All my 20:20s are pretty easy.
