Yeah. I was unfortunate enough to have had experience of it in my teens at Trek cons. It comes from the word relationship. I’m sure you get it. Hell, Twilight was originally a fan ship story, at first. Kirk and Spock having a gay relationship was a big thing even after the first season.
And let me clarify. I have no problem with a fan written story about a gay Kirk and Spock. What I have a problem with is bad porn forced upon people in general.
