Im really excited for this movie for two reasons. first it means the books will move forward a little bit since one of the movies is coming out. two, i really like the movies.
When i first saw PoA i was pretty pissed off. After i made my self admit that movies cant be books no mater how good either of them are, i was able to look at it more realisticly. There are things that piss me off, like the way they switched around the school grounds for this movie, and the fact that the friendship of the 4 people who made the map was almost 100% left out. Despite that they where able to still convey the core message of the book. They just left out a lot of fluff. So now im looking at the movies as a simple visual treat to further solidify the rich world presented in the books. When i want my meat and potatoes ill go read the books.
