I wonder why those firefox / red panda things aren’t all over the world as pets. They look utterly adorable. Are they incorrigible destroyers of shoes? Shit all over the place? Just regular asshole bastards? There must be a reason people prefer cats over these things.

It can take many years to breed “pet” animals from wild stock.

Russia has been doing this with foxes since forever.

One side effect is that they lose their coloring and other “wild” features and start to look a lot more like dogs.
