How the hell was that a catch? It looked like Avant was in the process of dropping it as he went to the ground.
When they hit 66, I think Vick might come out. But maybe not.

59-28! Here come the Skins!
I want to see the Eagles hit 70.
I liked the TD pass where Vick had nearly eight seconds to throw. That was some sandlot football there.
Right, because Haley never ran up the score when he was the OC in Arizona. Also, ha ha ha, they only lost by 20. That ain’t shit as far as blowout losses are concerned. The '08 cards won 6 games by 20 or more points. He needs to stop whining and coach his defense to keep opponents out of the end zone.

Bill, that GIF is awesome.
I wonder if there are any Philadelphia fans who want McNabb back now. If there were any doubts before tonight…
The (probably more accurate) contractual details: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5812371
• 2010: $3.5 million signing bonus/$250,000 if active eight games
• 2011: $10 million option bonus/$2.5 million salary/$750,000 if active 16 games/$250,000 workout/$2 million possible playoff incentives
• 2012: $12.75 million salary/$750,000 if active 16 games/$250,000 workout/$2 million possible playoff incentives
• 2013: $13 million salary/$1.5 million if active 16 games/$250,000 workout/$2 million possible playoff incentives
• 2014: $13.75 million salary/$3 million if active 16 games/$250,000 workout/$2 million possible playoff incentives
• 2015: $13.55 million salary/$2.25 million if active 16 games/$250,000 workout/$2 million possible playoff incentives
So, essentially, the 'Skins paid him 3.75 million this year to squat on his rights next year for another 10 million bonus.
Definitely not 40M guaranteed - his deal looks conducive to future trades, as well.
Editing to add - the Skins aren’t on the hook at all after 2010 to keep McNabb - they can still pursue Michael Vick with the 74 Million currently tied up in McNabb’s contract. Good deal for the Skins.
Michael Vick was worth 57 points in my fantasy league this week. Glad I wasn’t facing him.
The announcers gushed over Albert Haynesworth and said that he should be starting.
Here is why he should not:

They said multiple times that Haynesworth had given up during the later part of the game. I don’t think he cares anymore.
What a bust Haynesworth has been.
Well, $41 million really wears you out, man. Sometimes it’s naptime. MOCK NOT THE MILLIONAIRE NARCOLEPTIC, HIS PAIN IS NO LESS VALID THAN YOURS.
So apparently LaRon Landry and DeAngelo Hall were taunting DeSean Jackson before the game. Made sleeping gestures and other stuff indicating they were going to put Jackson out with a concussion. After the third instance of it, Jackson got pissed enough to start the fracas that happened before the game.
The Eagles lockerroom was apparently very loud before game time and it was all due to the incident on the field.
That’s why Reid didn’t call off the dogs until late third quarter last night and just poured it on.

As Kirk Herbstreit once said… “Say nice things about your opponent and smile. Don’t say anything to get them excited to wanna destroy you.” :)
I had no problem with the Eagles continuing to score; they obviously showed it was possible to score nearly 35 points in a quarter, and halfway into the second Washington had scored twice to narrow the gap to 3 TDs, which is easily assailable in an entire half of football. The fact they were motivated to (because of some very stupid Redskins players) is a bonus.

It’s a division game. You always should pour it on for a division game. That’s why what Todd Haley did (or didn’t do) was so silly.
The only thing I thought was a bit odd was leaving Vick in as long as they did. Kolb is a good QB and the game was certainly over by the time the 4th quarter started.
That was fun to watch the Eagles score at will. Wonder what practice was like for the Redskins today?

I loved the bit where Jaws asked Gruden, “You coached against him when you were at Tampa Bay. How did you deal with him then?” And Gruden responded, “He wasn’t playing at this level then!”
Ol’ Ron Mexico is really playing well right now.

McNabb’s contract thing has sparked talk in Seattle about Hasselbeck’s future as he is a free agent after the season. Since Whitehurst doesn’t look ready (if he ever will be) the thought is that Seattle will try and bring Hasselbeck back for another two or three years, but it will be interesting to see if anyone else takes an interest in him given the rather meagre QB market that will exist in the offseason (assuming lockout/strike is averted.)
