Shady!

Love having him on my fantasy team!

Are you kidding me??? Two turnovers ON THE SAME PLAY? This game is just ridiculous.

Oh man, what a game.

Interception, returned, fumbled, Giants Offense gets the ball back. And a first down.

fixed

The amount of turnovers and near-turnovers in this game is just silly.

Why didn’t he slide?

Feet first I mean, he sort of did a head first belly slide along the grass. Just awkward.

Where the hell did DeSean Jackson go? I see his jersey out there on the field, but the person inhabiting it doesn’t appear to be doing anything.

Dunno where DeSean is, but Shady is in full freakin’ effect baby!

Man, the Giants really had a shot at winning this one. Seems like the Eagles dominated the game, but the Giants’ defense kept 'em in the game.

I’m a bit slow at times, so I need someone to decipher this for me. Is this suggesting that Jeff Fisher, coach of the Tennessee Titans, is to report to Bud Adams, owner of the Tennessee Titans… in Houston at 7AM Monday? Why Houston? Second, why would this mean the “Texans might have a shot at” Fisher? If he were to get fired from Tennessee, wouldn’t the entire league have a shot at him?

I’m going to assume there’s some connection here from when the Titans were the Houston Oilers and Fisher was coach back before they moved, but wow, I need a lot of dots connected here. Does the city of Houston have some love affair with Fisher that they’re dying to get him in as coach?

It’s that Randy Moss poison!

Because Houston is where Bud Adams lives.

Yep. But that’s coming from a Houston radio station, so that’s what they’re gonna talk about.

Well, he has the advantage of not being Gary Kubiak. But I don’t think there’s necessarily a driving need to have him there.

Heh. I saw somewhere where Randy Moss was quoted as saying… hang on, lemme find the quote…aww heck, I can’t find it. But it was along the lines of, “Man, this situation is fucked up.”

Anyway, I think this just about covers the bases on the whole tiff.

Wow. I’m amazed that guy was able to type that much with VY’s penis in his mouth.

I dunno, man:

I also find it funny that Young gets a worse rap than QB’s that text their junk to sideline reporters, throw coaches under the bus constantly, and have tearful retirement speeches on a near annual basis. I also find it repulsive that purported rapists get a fairer shake playing the QB position than a guy that just wants to win even if he is a bit immature.

Seriously, what’s up with that shit?

An end of the season evaluation might be in order, but Adams would be unwise to can Fisher over this, whatever the dispute is. It doesn’t seem to be much in dispute that Young threw stuff into the crowd and left without talking to reporters. That shows that even now he isn’t handling things in a professional or mature matter.

Adams can make whatever post-season move he wants, but firing Fisher now would mean an end to Titans in 2010.

Yeah, pretty fucked up situation all around.

So the Tennessean newspaper says this is what happened:

  • Young injured his thumb, tearing a tendon in his throwing hand. He wanted to come back in but Fisher decided against it because he thought Young’s practice throws were “erratic.”
  • As he left the field after the loss, Young threw his shoulder pads and jersey into the stands.
  • Fisher gathered the team in the lockerroom but Young was muttering under his breath the whole time. Fisher asked him to stop, so Young left the group and started to get dressed.
  • Young attempted to leave but was called out by Fisher for leaving his teammates. Young apparently said he was running out only on Fisher and left. Another player followed Young out into the parking lot, asking him to return, but Young left.
  • apparently players were told to keep quiet about the incident.
  • Fisher declared Young done as the starter and the rookie who finished the game as the starter the rest of the way, something which apparently caught many of the players by surprise, including the new starter.

There’s nothing in the paper’s story about Fisher meeting with Adams in Houston, though obviously it does say that Fisher and the GM will be speaking with Adams on Monday about the situation.

What’s up is that it isn’t true. It’s the idiotic ranting of a VY worshipper.

Favre has made a complete jackass out of himself this year and probably done a lot of permanent damage to his previous “lovable hick” persona. I think VY has issues, but who thinks he has a “worse rep” than Favre at this point?

The Ben comparison is even more of a joke. VY has been injured and not played well. Ben is healthy and playing fine. By what logic should VY get a “fairer shake” to be his team’s starter than Ben?

I have no real opinion on VY, other than wondering if he’ll ever blossom into a top-tier NFL QB. But I do have an opinion on his cult-like fanbase, who seem to have him confused with Joe Montana and stage a Day of Outrage anytime anyone says a bad word about him. That entire blog post is a joke and the guy writing it should be the head of VY’s fan club.

I think Fisher is one of the best coaches in the league, but a change of scenery wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world. He has been in Tennessee for a long time. That said, the Texans won’t get him, even if he does leave.
