Those Superbowl bound Jets.
What the hell happened to them, anyway?
I can’t stand watching the NFL sometimes. The amount of commercials in this Eagles/Cowboys game is really pissing me off. It’s a good game so far but I’m very close to turning it off.
The usual New York hubris.
Jets have lost two in a row and the next two weeks they’re @Pittsburgh and @Chicago. The division is pretty much New England’s, so a playoff berth is in serious jeopardy.

Here is a video of the Metrodome collapsing from the heavy snow.

After watching the Pats - Bears game, I am absolutely certain the Patriots will win every single game left and then dismantle anyone they find in the superbowl.
DAMN THEM.
That’s looking to be the case. Ughhhhhh. Help us Eli, you’re our only hope.

I can’t believe the 49ers still have a great chance at a playoff spot. What a joke. I just looked at their schedule and the only decent team they’ve defeated was the Oakland Raiders. And that was before Oakland started playing well.
The 49ers are definitely going to lose next week but the Rams and Cardinals are the last two teams. Win those games and they are in the playoffs.

It’s not going to be that easy. The best the 49ers can finish is 8-8 while the Rams can still finish 9-7 (as can the Seahawks.) The schedule suggests Seattle is done (next two games are against the Falcons and Bucs, both of whom are still in the hunt). But the Rams play the Chiefs and 49ers at home, which are both winnable, and then finish at Seattle - so 9-7 is not unrealistic thinking. The 49ers still have a chance, but not much of one and they almost certainly have to beat the Rams in St. Louis to do it.
You THINK Brady would let that happen again?
The Niners have a decent chance, but they will have to beat the Rams on the road.
No matter what happens next week, the Niners vs. the Rams will be a big game the week after. Neither team will be out of it when they play.
And the Chargers this Thursday. Yeah, it looks like the Rams have the edge on the division. The only mitigating factor I can see (aside from the HIGHLY IMPROBABLE chance that Alex Smith plays as well as he did yesterday for the remainder of the season) is that since Sam Bradford is a rookie, he might be wearing down as rookies sometimes do since the NFL season is a month longer than college.
AHHH I can’t stop watching it! Even now I’m not reading this I’m just typing while I watch. Hope there’s no typos. tab space Oh wait I was supposed to press tab space not type them hang on a sec let me try
The Niners can lose to the Bolts and still win the division, and it’s not that farfetched:
Lose to the Bolts and beat the Rams and Cards and they finish 7-9.
If the Rams lose to the Niners and lose one other game, they finish 7-9 and the Niners win the head to head tiebreak. The Rams have the Chiefs at home and finish in Seattle against the Hawks. In the Rams favor, they may get to play the Chiefs without Cassel if he is not recovered from his appendectomy.
If the Hawks lose their next two (Falcons and Bucs) and beat the Rams, they finish 7-9. I have no idea what the tiebreakers would be if there are three teams at 7-9.
Both the Seahawks and Rams control their own destiny, too. If either wins out, they are in since they play one another.

I’m going to listen to the Giants-Viking game tonight using NFL audio pass. I can choose between Vikings Radio or Giants Radio. Anyone have opinions either way?

The way I see it, my wonderfully circuitous plan in the NFC West is one step closer to completion.
- The Rams could easily lose to KC this weekend
- Seattle will be underdogs in their next two games against Atlanta and Tampa.
So even if SF loses to the Chargers this weekend, there’s a good chance that if they beat the Rams in two weeks, all three teams would be 6-9 headed into the last week and the 49ers, of all teams, would hold the tiebreakers heading into the final game against Arizona.
Which, of course, the 49ers would lose, because that’s how you roll in the NFC West.
