I saw the thing about Bowe at ESPN.com, but I can’t find it now. They yanked it.

It won’t be a problem against the Seahawks but it could be a problem against the Bears. Chris Ivory was also put on IR. Ivory and Thomas have been our best rushers this season. Jimmy Graham and Malcolm Jenkins are both listed as DNP today. Shockey and David Thomas are listed as LP. Colston is listed as FP. Losing Ivory sucks, since he was a solid rusher and almost always good for 4-5 yards; he has averaged 5.2 YPA and has 5 touchdowns this season. Reggie Bush seems to be getting back into the swing of things though.

Thankfully most of the defense is still healthy.

Edit: Chris Ivory, not Christ. He’s good, but not that good.

Thomas is out for the playoffs as well, though.

The Titans have announced that Vince Young won’t be coming back next year. No work on whether that means Fisher is coming back and the statement specifically says the owner is still considering that. Could be that both are gone when all is said and done.

And in coaching news a lot of sources say Harbaugh is interviewing with the 49ers.

It says something about over 3% of the ownership. If you combine anything he does with what Jerrah Jones and that guy who owns the Redskins does, that’s like 10%. That’s a statistically significant amount of nuts.

Yay! Young is gone! Now, do the right thing and let Fisher go with him! Ummm…not with him, obviously. But away. Still, I think Adams will keep Fisher one more season, in part because of the uncertainty with the CBA.

Wouldn’t be ironic if Seattle picked up VY? :)

I’m just looking forward for the Carroll/Bush reunion this Saturday. Can you say AWKWARD?

hahahahahahha oh yeah, i bet they love each other right now :)

It will be interesting to see what happens with VY. The Titans can’t cut him until after the Superbowl, and if they want to try and trade him they can’t do that until the new league year begins - which is of course up in the air.

Why would it be awkward? The Seahawks already played the Saints this year and Carroll and Bush had no issues, even chatting on field before the game began (Bush was injured and didn’t play but he was at the game).

Despite the text of the statement, it seems to me that if they are announcing Young isnt going to be back, then Fisher is. Then again, Bud Adams is a crazy dumbass.

As for Bowe, I dont think it matters, the Chiefs are going to lose the in the first round, with or without him.

Bizarre coaching stuff on the radio tonight(FOX I think).

49ers offer Harbaugh 4.5 mil.

Dolphins offer Gruden 7 mil, turned down. Dolphins’ owner flying to SF to make same offer to Harbaugh. Nothing confirmed here in S Fla. by local media…

Jeezus, Peter King says it was $7-$8 million a year that Gruden turned down. Harbaugh’s going to get the same offer. Fucking hell. At least Gruden’s won a SB. Guy must really like the broadcast life. Of course, who can blame him? He was legendary in the amount of time he put in the office each week as a coach.

Fans are nuts. Several Fin fan sites are providing tracking links for Ross’ flight! http://flightaware.com/live/flight/N510SR

I’d have a lot more respect for the Dolphins if they would fire their current coach before offering the job to a bunch of other people. Or at least keep their backroom discussions private until everything is official.

Seriously, he would sleep four hours a night at the office, something like that. It would be hard to jump back into that routine again.

All-Pro Shane Lechler calls the Raiders’ decision to fire Tom Cable, their best coach of the last eight years, “a huge setback” and asks why they can whack the guy who just went 6-0 in the division.

The next day, the Raiders signed a new punter.

Because Al Davis HAS to be right.

Really? Lechler is good, isn’t he? Still, I can kind of see how you don’t want a player out spouting to the media like that, regardless of the situation.

Must be nice to be the hottest brand going…

Lechler is probably one of the top three punters in the game. At least he has been; I don’t know how he did this year, but for the last 5-6 he’s been playing at an All-Pro level. He might be the Raiders’ second-best player, behind Nnamdi Asomugha.

Link? I’d like to see the full story because that sounds ridiculous on its face. As if Lechler can’t get another punting job or something.

EDIT: Ok I found the story. Move on, there’s nothing here. Lechler is not going anywhere and the punter they brought into camp has nothing to do with their actual punting situation according to this story. At best this is probably the same thing as when Shanahan brought in Jamarcus Russell.
