Wow, what happened to playing until the whistle?

LOL. Pittsburgh is now out of challenges as well.

They ran out of challenges in the first quarter!

Dumb play by the Steelers to stand around, but ten Baltimore players did the same thing. heh

The Ravens had their foot on the Steelers’ throats and now they’re in total meltdown.

Looks like it’ll be a good finish.

I’m always against the Steelers once the playoffs start, not because I dislike them but because I don’t want them to extend their Super Bowl titles lead over the Cowboys (and Niners).

Baltimore was gifted a 14 point lead, their offense has been wretched today.

I laughed when Esiason mentioned the “aggressive Ravens offense” at half-time - and they still entered the 4th quarter with less then 100 yards.

That call on the return was awful, that was as close to a soccer flop as you’ll see in the NFL by the Pittsburgh player. Should have been six.

I don’t understand what the Ravens are doing on this last offensive series. Three long pass attempts in a row? They have time.

Edit: So much for that. Someday maybe the Ravens will learn that their defense, while good, isn’t good enough to win unless they open their offense up. And that’s only going to get worse as the defense ages.

Okay, hopefully Green Bay-Atlanta will have some offense. Not normally a Falcons fan, but I am tonight.

That defense manages to stay about the same age, the big issues are Reed and Lewis and their replacements. But then again, that was said about McAlister as well, who was one of the top CBs in the game in his prime, but Ozzie seems to stay on top of things.

Pittsburgh-Baltimore was a dirty, sloppy game, but I think you could hear my family’s joyous screaming all the way to, well, Pittsburgh. Let’s hope they LEARN TO PROTECT ROETHLISBERGER by next week. :P

Ultimately I think there is an organizational philosophy that is holding them back. You can only go so far with a very good defense, which is what the Ravens have most years. What they had when the won the Superbowl was a once in a generation defensive year, much like the 1985 Bears (who also only made it to one Superbowl.)

What’s frustrating is that they have the offensive talent, they just don’t seem willing to take advantage of it. That’s either because they don’t trust Flacco or because they are just too conservative. My guess is that it’s the latter case.

I wouldn’t trust Flacco either, but maybe that’s because Baltimore never has so I’ve never seen what he can do if he’s allowed to actually try to win instead of manage the game.

Sweet Jesus, props to the Atlanta fans, the Dome is LOUD tonight.

That was a hell of a thing.

That Weems fellow seems to be rather quick.

Tough loss for the Ravens. Meltdown, way too conservative coaching (you have a crazy talented WR corps!), and that kickoff return. Ouch. I don’t like either team (and I choose Pittsburgh to win) but I was for the Ravens during the game. Tough.

This GB/ATL game feels like the NFC Championship game, doesn’t it?

Hey Chris Owens, STOP TOUCHING RECEIVERS BEFORE THE BALL GETS THERE!!!

Also, Aaron Rodgers has impressed the hell out of me so far in this game. I think I’m starting to get why almost everyone else in the world of NFL fans thinks he is a great QB. He’s looked a lot like Tom Brady so far tonight.

Aaron Rodgers is fantastic. 49ers fans cry a little bit every snap he takes. Top ten QBs for fun:
peyton manning
tom brady
phillip rivers
drew brees
michael vick
aaron rodgers
ben roethlisberger
josh freeman
matt ryan
matt cassell

Thats unranked.
