Damn. Really incredible game by Rodgers and the Packers. Not only are Rodgers’ numbers really great for this game but he made some straight up great plays as well. Pulled out of at least two near-sacks to throw completions and also ran in a TD! Really impressive game.
Edit: Also GB didn’t punt the entire game!

HAWKS! Srsly they’ll start a quake big enough to set off Mt. Rainier!
I hope we get some better games today. That Packers - Falcons game was a blowout and over by the beginning of the fourth quarter. The Steelers - Ravens game was close but wasn’t well-played – way too many turnovers and penalties. Bit of a dud Saturday for the playoffs.
The Saints have to be sick right now. They beat the Seahawks and they’re hosting the NFC Championship game and odds on favorites to return to the Superbowl.
And go Seahawks! I want to see a 7-9 team in the Superbowl!
The front page of the NY Post today. Not the front page of the sports coverage, but the proper front page.

When a woman fighting breast cancer comes straight from chemo to the airport to get your autograph before the flight, you don’t just ignore her and walk on by. This is a really classless action by Rodgers. After watching the video, all I can say is that I hope he makes it right.
With that said, much respect to Clay Matthews for stopping to talk with her and do what Rodgers was too aloof to do.

That article is a bit of hit piece. As the comments note, Rodgers was wearing headphones and not really paying attention. It’s also clear that someone tipped off Matthews, based on his comments. Rodgers may not have been.
Nobody is owed an autograph. Period.

What a bunch of bullshit. FFS, Shmtur.
So what was Brady sniffing in a Gatorade cup? That was really odd. Anyone else see that right before kickoff?
That’s how the pros drink Gatorade. What, you didn’t know?
Well that’s not the end I expected to that opening drive.

Weird. I think the dude he handed it too was going to do the same thing. Maybe some energy infusing stuff that works like smelling salts?
I don’t know what it was, but he sniffed it like it was smelling salts. It was kind of funny. I doubt the network was expecting that when they focused the camera on him.

In the long run this isn’t a big deal, you’d be right in that. It doesn’t change my opinion of him as a player, but it reinforces to me that he’s a dick. I’ve met him, and have a family member that works for the organization, so I’m not basing this on one article; the guy is incredibly arrogant. He also somewhat earned some leeway, given what he went through replacing Favre, and that guys in his position almost have to be somewhat arrogant.
And it’s still classless. He doesn’t have to stop and give her an autograph, or have a five minute conversation; all he has to do is at least acknowledge that she exists. It’s a local airport and he’s flying out for a playoff game - you know there are going to be fans there, and I hope he doesn’t decide he’s too good to be seen with the common folk.
I’d rather not see him become another Favre, y’know?

Well you’re getting your wish because Florio is on a national radio show right now flogging it for every website hit he can get out of it and saying only Packers fans are defending Rodgers.
I just think the whole thing is very hard to judge based on a few moments of video, especially when it is so obvious that Matthews was tipped off based on what he says to the woman. So he gets to be the good guy? It is very possible there is nothing fair at all about how this is being portrayed, and I am not a Packers fan in saying that.
Also, nobody has mentioned it here but apparently Belichick benched Welker for the first drive of the game because he didn’t appreciate Welker’s widely shown “foot/feet” comments from the other day.

In the grand scheme of things, it’s not a big enough deal to get into an argument about. I’ve heard about enough of these types of stories with him, and experienced one thing personally, that I’m willing to say he brought this one on himself. All he had to do was not be so aloof; take off the headphones, and say hello to the fans as you’re walking by. It’s not much that’s being asked, here.

Eh, I’m going to side with Rodgers. Seemed very set up.
And how’s that working out for them Patriots right now, eh? EH?
