Just like this never happened, eh?

That was Photoshopped.

This is what Redskins fans are reduced to. “That all-time awesome player for your team was also awesome on another team!”

I’d rather not talk about what we’ve had to deal with.

As much as the Sparano situation depresses me, I also find it fascinating.

First of all, there’s no question that he’s not back in 2012. The Dolphins season ended weeks ago and they probably won’t win 6 games. The only question is, when do you let Sparano go?

To start, there was that awkwardness last year where the Dolphins were openly courting Harbaugh while Sparano was still the coach, so when that fell through, they gave Sparano a two-year extension as sort of a mea culpa apology. Does that obligate them to give Sparano a few extra games?

And then there’s the question of, if Sparano is steering the team towards a 2-win season, and the team looks like they’re at least trying, why not let him? Why fire him midseason and bring in an interim guy who might light a fire and get you 3 or 4 meaningless wins that ultimately cost you Luck?

Because the Dolphins bye week came so early this year (it’s this weekend) I think there are two key games on the Dolphins’ schedule that could get Sparano fired: Kansas City on Nov 6 and Dallas on Thanksgiving. If the Dolphins are still stumbling and get embarassed in either of those games, they’d be almost obligated drop Sparano. But if they have a few wins in November and put up a decent effort against the Cowboys, he might make it until Christmas.

Haynesworth isn’t an all-time great.

But because I care about you, Matt, I give you:

We could play this game ALLLL day.

However, this year’s Skins team, appears disciplined and determined and built along the right lines.

Shame we remain paper thin at most positions . . . Rex is still Rex . . . and D’Angelo Hall is in a serious decline.

Man, I love those uniforms.

The best part is once they fire him, DC Mike Nolan takes over and he wasn’t exactly stellar during his stint as HC of the Niners.

It’ll be interesting to see who the next coach in Miami ends up being. Cowher seems to be willing to come back but wants money and control (Carolina wasn’t willing to pay that kind of money) and I’m guessing the Dolphins might be willing to offer both. There’s also been talk the LSU’s Les Miles will get a lot of interest this year. And of course other suspects like Gruden and Fisher. The Dolphins will need to make a splash, though, given the fan base anger.

The Dolphins need some good players. I can’t think of anyone on that team that stands out.

The Dolphins have Brandon Marshall, Jake Long and Cameron Wake. After that, most of their team hovers around the “average” area, give or take a little.

The thing that’s most frustrating about being a Dolphins fan right now is that the entire franchise seems clueless, all the way up to the front office. The nonsense with Sparano and Harbaugh last year was embarassing. They haven’t had a good draft in forever. They gave Wes Welker to the Pats for a cheeseburger. They can’t build a solid OL and keep wasting time on running backs they can’t open holes for. My fear is that they’ll end up with Andrew Luck and then have no idea how to build a team around him.

I’d love to get Cowher in there, but I don’t know how realistic an option that is. If he weren’t 67, I wouldn’t mind getting Marty Schottenheimer, either.

Poor Chad had some bad luck last week. Lost much of his reptile breeding business in a fire…:(

Sadly that’s true. However, I disagree with Bruce. He actually was okay for the Redskins. Mark Carrier, on the other hand…

However, this year’s Skins team, appears disciplined and determined and built along the right lines.

It’s really encouraging. And DeAngelo Hall stinks. But he’s a pro bowl cornerback!

DeAngelo Hall is good about 50% of the time. The other 50% of the time he’s Sabby Piscatelli bad.

Hank Williams Jr. is out at MNF. Can’t say I mind. I never really liked that intro anyway.

Goodbye and good riddance. I’ve hated that intro since the first time it appeared, and Williams is a complete hack.

And his BS about “his First Amendment toes being stepped on” is nonsense. The First Amendment has nothing to do with business arrangements, and I assume Williams was an “at will” contract. They can get rid of him for any reason they want.

Freedom of Speech does not mean Freedom from Consequences.

Chad Henne: out for the season with shoulder surgery.

They’ve already got Matt Moore as a backup, but I’m curious who they audition during the bye week. Do they give Garrard a workout?

I like some of Hank’s music, but 20 years or whatever its been is a long time to be singing variations of the same song. And public figures have the freedom to say what they want but have to accept their may be consequences from that. Dixie Chicks, etc., etc.

Reports say they signed Sage Rosenfels.

I’d say its a “suck for Luck” move but for two things. First, Rosenfels isn’t the worst backup QB around. Second, Mort over at ESPN pointed out that Luck could stay at Stanford another year if he wanted to and that apparently he’s at least thinking about it. So tanking this year isn’t going to necessarily mean he’s available for the Dolphins or anyone else.
