Rex is perfect for New York, though, especially in comparison to Coughlin. And give the guy some credit, because the Jets weren’t exactly looking like a team on the rise when he took over there.

Agreed.

(Fellow Redskins fan)

He’s half right, a better coach would’ve won at least one Super Bowl with the talent the Chargers had. I don’t think Rex is that coach, though.

Totally agreed. I’ve said many times that with a proper coach, the Chargers should have won a Super Bowl or two in the past decade. That half is true. But for Rex to say he would have won with that team when he hasn’t even won a division with the Jets is just silly.

To be fair to Rex, he’s in a division with Bill Belicheck and Tom Brady, and Rex is saddled with Mark Sanchez.

And the Ravens, who are the ones who took out the Patriots in the playoffs. Whereas Turner couldn’t even win the division last year with KC as the team who won by default. I’ll take Rex any day over Norv Turner, even with his mouth.

I’m not sure I follow this. Are you saying the Jets and Ravens are in the same division? Or was this answering a different post that got ninja edited or something?

SIGH, forgot that Ravens are with Pittburgh, not Patriots. Too much information flow today. Just take out the first sentence and then it will make (more) sense.

On Monday night, the Jets came out in a must-win game at home and went 3-and-out on their first four possessions, and were outgained 170-10 by the worst team in football. Against any competent team, they would have been down 17 or 20 points in the first quarter.

If you guys want to argue over whether you’d rather have Norv or Rex, go nuts. I have no dog in that fight because I don’t want either of them.

Well let’s see:

2007: Pats win AFC. Pats destroyed everyone in their path except for the Giants in the Superbowl. No chance.

2008: Steelers win AFC. Maybe but it’s no given they would have beaten either the Steelers or the Cardinals considering how close that game was.

2009: Guess what Rex, you were at the Champs game and your Jets D was better than the Chargers and you still couldn’t stop Manning. He was ungodly that year until the Superbowl.

2010: No one could beat Rodgers’ Packers in the Superbowl. No one. That’s assuming you got past the Steelers (which, again, you didn’t with the Jets).

I will grant you the Chargers make the playoffs every year under Rex but that’s it.

I love SA sometimes:

The Pittsburgh Steelers! Men! Macho, powerful, manly men! Manly dancing men with beards and hair!

Ah hell I’m two years older than Matt Moore.

I have this shirt:

I’m totally looking forward to this weekend’s extravaganza featuring Matt Moore + Brandon Marshall against Tim Tebow - Brandon Lloyd.

Finally we’ll find out if it’s possible for both teams to lose the same game.

There should be an under/over on how many people show up at that game in Tebow/Florida jerseys. It’s going to be like a Gators home game.

Note to self: avoid all mentions of the DEN/MIA game.

Despite the NFL hinting at playing more games in London, or even possibly basing a team there, its interesting to note that this weekends game will likely have the lowest attendance ever for a London game. On the other hand, since the Jaguars can’t even sell out their MNF game, its still a biggger crowd then several teams manage even on their best days.

And it still isn’t clear if Carson Palmer will start for the Raiders or not. Plus it sounds like Janikowski may also miss the game. Boller and no Janikoski? I’m almost starting to wonder if the Chiefs can pull an upset.

Oh, and Olin Kreutz has “left” the Saints. Not clear what is going on there. But he was their starting center earlier this year, though he’s missed the last two games.

According to him his heart wasn’t in it and he didn’t want to “just collect a paycheck.” He was probably going to be benched for De La Puente anyway.

Odd about Kreutz. You can’t play for three more months, even if benched? Maybe he has some personal stuff going on.
