The Rams are horrible, but we’re talking about the Cards, Seahawks and Browns here. Did you not watch Cleveland-Seattle game? If St. Louis loses to those teams they deserve to get the goldmine that will be the #1 pick. In which Miami will do like the Saints did for Ricky Williams and trade away their entire draft to St. Louis for Luck.

The issue isn’t people realizing those guys all played at Arkansas, its that you didn’t mention one of them in your post. When you start off talking about a guy from Oklahoma breaking a record set by a guy from Florida, adding a comment on the end about it being a bad day for Arkansas guys is rather out of context.

The Rams are beyond horrible, though. They are scoring less then 10 points a game and giving up more then 27 a game. Their closest game was a 7 point loss. Seattle and Cleveland have won multiple games and been close in losses. Arizona has lost three games by a touchdown or less. And Miami has had two close losses themselves. There just isn’t any comparison right now to how bad the Rams are.

St. Louis won’t be able to beat San Fran or Cincinnati, period. Those teams are better than teams they have already lost to. Beyond that, I don’t see St. Louis beating Cleveland or Seattle away. Neither are great teams, but with homefield advantage and their better than average defenses will shut down St. Louis’s horrendous offense (their highest score so far was 16 points). That leaves two games with Arizona and one with Seattle at home. I’d give them one win out of those 3. Miami has a chance to get a win against KC, and frankly has a better chance of taking another game against its field than St. Louis.

Who do you think will end up with more wins? :)
Miami.

PS) My power rankings (which admittedly are waiting for more data) rank St. Louis last at 9.0%, meaning they’d be expected to win 1.4 games against a neutral schedule. Second to last is Jacksonville at 20.9%, so 3.3 wins expected. That is right, St. Louis would win less than half the number of games as the second to worst team in football.

Can’t they just call this game already?

Drew Brees’ numbers for tonight: 31 for 35, 325 yards, 5 TDs. They had 8 scores on 8 possessions before they pulled Brees in the 3rd quarter: 6 TDs and 2 FGs.

And still, Brees doesn’t have a perfect passer rating for the night, because his YPA is a little low. And if that doesn’t tell you how the QB rating system needs to be thrown away forever, nothing will. This is one of the best games you’ll ever see a QB have.

(And they’ve just scored another TD on their 9th possession with their backup QB in, and you just wonder how bad the Colts defense is.)

(edit: and now the defense gets a pick 6 and it’s 62-7. My god.)

INT return!

Good night, Colts.

I didn’t need much from reggie Wayne and Curtis painter for my fantasy team to win, but this is a disaster.

And now we have an Orlovsky sighting.

I’ve been AFF (away from football) all evening; just checked the score, and let me just say WHAT THE

I mean, I know Indy is terrible, but seriously. There should be a mercy rule or something.

Edit: wooo 12,000!

Hey! That was your 12,000th post!

And yes, the Colts suck.

I was watching the WS with the plan to switch over, but I see there’s no point. Did Indy just out and out quit?

Well done, Talisker! I, too, was watching a baseball game, turned over at the end, and saw Peyton looking like he was going to explode.

(Also, fuck you Joe Buck, you are horrible.)

“Feliz means happy in Spanish and these fans have been happy throughout.”

Exactly.

It’s hard to know what to say about the Colts. They were pre-season contenders if Peyton was back, but can one quarterback really matter that much, even to the defense?

41 years here and trying hard to remember 10 years ago when I actually enjoyed my Sundays…

When you’re down by 30 in the second quarter, why bother trying?

Pathetic. Painter was putting up acceptable fantasy points prior to this but this week was a complete disaster.

The reality is that for all their shortcomings, the Colts have actually been in most games this year. With Manning around, they probably have 3 or 4 wins. But they just got overrun tonight by a far superior team.
