I just want Tebow’s fans to shut up and go back to Gainesville.
Next week Tebow meets Suh and in four weeks he meets Revis.
I think we’ll be able to move on after that.
I have this wonderful mental image of Suh recreating the prison scene that Will Smith did in “Hancock” with Tebow.
Honestly, I’m really looking forward to seeing Tebow play more.
He may not be the best QB I have ever seen, but he kind of feels like Marino in one aspect. That no matter how much time is left, you feel like you have a chance with him in the game.

Nothing really surprising, but reports have surfaced saying the Dolphins are sounding out Bill Cowher’s interest. And today it was reported that Sparano has put his house up for sale, presumably because he understands the inevitable is coming.
I’ll pre get on the 'fins bandwagon if they bring in Cowher and can snag Luck. Double pre get on the bandwagon.
I think there are people like Tebow and want him to succeed, people who think he has potential, and people who think he’s a good leader, but there’s only a tiny minority who actually thinks he’s a technically good quarterback right now, isn’t there?
Why does that matter? Tebow just wins!

Does anyone really think that Kyle Orton couldn’t have “just won” against the Dolphins?
Orton would have probably thrown a few more picks and the game wouldn’t have been anywhere close.
And he damn well would have had no chance to comeback at the end.
The special teams wouldn’t have been inspired enough to have recovered the onsides kick if they hadn’t just been watching Tebow get a touchdown. Same deal with the defense forcing a fumble.

I think the Tebow deal is kind of like the wildcat from a few years back. It’s not a good long term strategy, but the style is so unorthodox that teams don’t quite know how to prepare for it yet. That, and the fact that the Dolphins are so awful, made this game a perfect place for Tebow to debut and stage a comeback.
He might have another comeback or two in him this year, but I expect he’ll spend much more time looking completely unequipped to be an NFL quarterback.

I don’t know if Tebow being unorthodox enters into it for the rest of the season. A lot of defenses has spent time preparing to meet Michael Vick and so far they’ve done pretty well. I can’t see defending vs Tebow being even close to defending vs Vick in complexity. My money is on Miami just being too damn awful to win against anyone.

I totally agree with that, and that was kind of my point. This is probably a one-time thing where a bad team was just stuck looking at each other confused at the end of the game. I think you’ll see other teams quickly figure out how to shut him down.
It was Tebow on two weeks of practice against a team with practically no film of him who have a defence that couldn’t cover a chair with a beach towel, an offence that couldn’t score in a brothel with a golden cock and a Head Coach I wouldn’t trust to run a bath.
This was his stars-aligned best chance to look good and he was terrible for 55 minutes. I expect him to get better with more experience, but not at the same rate at which opposing defences will figure him out with more tape.
Any team capable of scoring 21 points will be practically out of reach for the Broncos.
In other news TO and Tiki are still unsigned, even after the latest rash of injuries. . .
I’m thinking both are done . . . at this stage in the season, folks are more than likely to try out the young bucks if a starter goes down.
Thoughts?
TO could catch on with a team that thinks it’s a WR away from the playoffs. I don’t see a non-contender wanting him.
Tiki I think is done.
My Cleveland Browns are on pace to win 5 or 6 games without them. With either… they would be on pace to win 5 or 6 games. I imagine there are a lot of teams in a similar situation.
Now, a good offense linemen who good the battered quarterback some relief…

I’m not sure TO is really capable of playing at a very high level, at least right now. Among others, Jerry Rice said he didn’t look like he was in shape for football and another NFL Network guy said TO looked uncertain on his repaired knee. So you throw that on top of the issues already associated with him and you see why no one is lining up to sign him. Same thing is true of Moss, btw.
Tiki is just done. No point in signing a guy who will make a veteran minimum salary when you can get the same production from an undrafted free agent.
I sure don’t, but I don’t even blame Orton. Hiring John Fox was a retarded move. What the Hell did he do to deserve being hired? The Panthers have Cam Newton because of his coaching ineptitude. They have a terrible coaching staff. This is the only reason I support Tebow as the starting QB, because he really is the only chance the Broncos have at winning games, because the only positive plays that inept offensive scheme can produce aren’t even in the playbook.
