Orton seems to be ok with ending up in KC. I’m sure he’d have preferred Chicago, but they were pretty far down the list. The Cowboys also apparently put in a claim for him. It’s not a bad move for the Chiefs, who still have a shot in the bad AFC West. Worst case scenario is that Orton leaves as a free agent after the season and they get some sort of compensatory pick.
Meanwhile, reports say Andrew Luck isn’t signing up for winter classes at Stanford, meaning he presumably intends to go pro. That should make the Colts feel better.

I think Lee got tired of the ass whupping he was taking. That was f’ing hilarious.

You know its a holiday when the local affiliate doesn’t have anything to show you during the long halftime commercial breaks so you sit through the placeholder screens until the national adds fire up.

That was just stupid by Suh. Pounding the head into the ground and then kicking the guy when the refs pulled him off. About as legitimate of a DQ as I’ve seen in awhile.

Yep really really stupid. Hopefully he’ll have enough class to apologize.

What the heck was that from Suh? I’ve been willing to give the guy a huge break since, for the most part, I think his “dirtiness” has been a bit overblown but that was just absurdly stupid. Suh is flirting with suspension with that.

Well, I think this game is over. I just don’t know right now where the Packers lose a game. Maybe at the Giants, if the good version of that team shows up?

If they play a game against a good team, and the Aaron Rodgers of this game’s first half shows up along with the defense from the first half of the season, yeah, they can lose.
Way to fucking implode on national tv, morons.
And as for Suh, if I was Schwartz, I’d suspend him myself.

After today the Packers only have two more road games: at the Giants and at the Chiefs. Their three home games are against solid opponents, but the Bears don’t have Cutler now and then its the Raiders and Lions again. Could one of the surprise the Packers? Sure, but you’d have thought something like that would have happened by now. Unless they decide to sit a bunch of people in the late games. But as long as the 49ers keep winning as well, then homefield througout the playoffs is still something the Packers have to think about.

Let’s be fair: They’re playing the Packers. Nobody’s beat the Packers this year, and a lot of teams have looked really bad while trying to. They held Rodgers to almost nothing for the first half, they piled up a lot of yards… it could be worse.

The Packers have already won their most lose-able game, which was against the Saints in week one. Without Cobbs’ ridiculous kick return – which was their only touchdown of the third quarter – and it becomes an even closer game.
That said, Rodgers has looked very slightly softer these past two games so there is a small glimmer of hope for their opponents, especially Chicago and New York. Detroit might have a shot in their last game.

On the one hand, yes. On the other hand, it’s still two 300 yard games with an average QB rating of like 120 or something. So, y’know, mortal, but not worse than that.
I was talking about the brief stretch in the third quarter where Suh was ejected and they went from 7 down to 21.
He may have looked softer but it was against a strong divisional opponent and the Bucs, who have traditionally played them tight. Any team could beat the Packers if they aren’t playing well, but conversely I don’t think any team can beat them when they are playing well.
I blame Nickelback. That halftime show was an abomination.

Yeah, I realize that even “slightly softer” is an overstatement when discussing Rodgers, but it’s the only shot other teams have at beating them at this point!
So, in other words, the only team capable of beating the Packers from here on out is…the Packers.
Which is certainly true. But I don’t expect it to happen.

Someone should tell Romo that it’s not the fourth quarter yet.
