I noticed he wasn’t quite so brusque with the cheerleader he ran into earlier. Speaking of whom, she was lucky she didn’t get rolled up on and blow out her knee.

Even if that is the truth Suh and his handlers should realize that nobody is going to believe it coming out of him. He should have just copped to it and apologized.

I’ll obviously never be an NFL coach, but:

If my team is 2 points ahead, but the opponent is in chip-shot field-goal range, with 2 minutes left on the clock, and I have no time-outs left?

The BEST chance my team has of winning this game is to tell my defense to LET THE OTHER TEAM SCORE a touchdown. On the next play. With as little time off the clock as possible.

I end up down by 5, but with 2 minutes to work back down the field.

The way Miami just played it, they ended up with about a 98% chance of losing, given the kicker’s record and the distance. At least if you let them score at the 2-minute mark, your offense has a chance to accomplish something.

That is just stupid stupid coaching imo.

I’m first and foremost only going to apologize to my teammates, my coaches and my true fans for allowing the refs to have an opportunity to take me out of this game. What I did was remove myself from the situation in the best way I felt, me being held down in the situation I was in. And further, my intentions were not to kick anybody, as I did not, removing myself as you see, I’m walking away from the situation and with that I apologize to my teammates and my fans and my coaches for putting myself in the position to be misinterpreted and taken out of the game.

The situation I was in? I was on top of a guy being pulled down and trying to get up off the ground. Why you see me pushing his helmet down [is] because I’m trying to remove myself from the situation. And as I’m getting up, I’m getting pushed, so I’m getting myself on balance and getting out of the situation. With that, a lot of people are going to interpret it as, or create their own storylines for seeing what they want to interpret, but I know what I did, and the man upstairs knows what I did.

In other news as is traditional in my African American family, I and the other women got stuck with dishwashing and clean up duty while the men watched the football game. My 20 year old son, not watching the game was not permitted to sub for me, as he’s considered a man now and not subject to kitchen duty.

Grr. (I still love them though!)

Haynesworth got a five game suspension for stomping on some dude’s head. I would think this could easily be a one game suspension in light of how Haynesworth was handled.

I’m guessing that after that sit-down a while back, Goodell will be feeling a bit less inclined to cut him any slack, 'cause he should goddamned well know the rules after that. Three weeks.

Did he play like this in college? I wonder if some of what is going on with him is frustration. He can’t toss NFL players around like he could college players. He is probably getting double-teamed a lot this year too.

Seriously. That whooshing sound he’s hearing is the sound of potential endorsements flying away at high speed – that little tantrum moment probably cost him millions.

He was a terror on the field for the Cornhuskers but in the games I watched I can’t remember it ever being that bad.

The Dolphins-Cowboys game today was damn good–close, lots of amazing plays and catches, an at-times-runaway Dallas defense, and general Romo-related craziness.
