Matt Moore has been doing surprisingly well and has looked a lot better than Henne. I’m not sure I would go back to Henne if I was in charge.

I find the NFL’s flipping out over punches kind of weird. I mean, what are the odds that the punchee ever takes the worst of it? There are dozens of ways you can legally put a guy in the hospital, but if you want to bruise your hand on his helmet you’re outtathere! It’s kind of bizarre when you think about it.

So watching this game, Tebow is still ungreat, but I will say that he now looks like a promising-but-flawed rookie (like Ponder, say) rather than the hopeless basket case that he looked like before. HIGH PRAISE.

Also, what the hell accent does Thom Brennaman have? He sounds normal most of the time, and then all the sudden he’s a Bugs Bunny gangster, talking about having an interception “retoined” for a touchdown.

No, no, the Vikings are a terrible team, and even if the Broncos win here, all it proves is that they can narrowly beat a terrible team (that doesn’t even have its best player, with Adrian Peterson out). But in the other games I’ve seen him him, the secondary wasn’t Tebow’s problem – the throws weren’t getting near his receivers, and wouldn’t have been even if there’d been no secondary at all. Here, his throws have mostly been reasonably in the vicinity of the receivers.

Henne is a free agent after the season. It’s doubtful they will re-sign him.
