The Broncos are winning as a team. Last week it was defense. This week, it was more offense.

Give Tebow credit for this. Down 15-7 he brings them to 15-14. Down 22-14 he drives for a TD and gets the 2 point conversion. Down 29-22 he brings them back for the TD and the tie. Down 32-29 he drives down for the tying FG with less than two minutes in the game. It may not be picture-perfect quarterbacking, but it’s 100% clutch.

I can see why his teammates believe he gives them a chance to win.

(And this is from someone who found the guy irritating and prognosticated he had no chance at success in the NFL. He’s won me over.)

Can someone make a Tom Coughlin image macro? That was a Norv-esque challenge on the touchdown.

I agree with everything you posted Mark. I think he had a good day, but I don’t think he is now or will ever be a good NFL quarterback consistently. He makes me laugh (in a good way) when he leads his team back from behind to win, because he is a great kid, a great competitor, and a great leader. I want him to prove me wrong, I can admit it when I’m wrong, but I can’t stand his cult-like followers insisting he is a great quarterback right now.

Meanwhile, Dallas just allowed Beanie frigging Wells a game tying touchdown. Dammit!

I would never say he is a great QB right now, he is a winning QB right now which is just as important I think. I just can’t stand all the so called experts on ESPN and sports talk radio who will only talk about how awful he is and wont give him any credit at all for the current state of the broncos.

All scoring plays are automatically reviewed by the officials now. He didn’t call for that challenge.

I think it’s a big plus in his favor to start out winning.

Sure there are QBs who start out winning and ultimately fail, people have mentioned Vince Young and so on. But I think there are far more who start off on bad teams that lose a lot and they don’t have a chance to really even start to develop.

Tebow, by winning, has bought time. He can stumble now and still recover, since I think he’s proved his point, that if the team starts losing it can’t be put on his shoulders alone.

…did Jason Garrett just ice his own kicker?

EDIT: actually, why didn’t the Cowboys call timeout after completing that pass instead of running it up and spiking it?

What the heck was that? Why didn’t they call a timeout after getting the first down?

He did…and they lost. And I’m sick.

LaRod!

Eli!

Nicks!

Ware!

What a great game this has been.

Of course, WAY too much time on the clock for Rodgers.

Indeed.

Jesus. I think I can live without any more games that close.

Still, given that spoiling perfect seasons seems to be the Giants’ raison d’etre, this can be chalked up as a huge dodged bullet.

Ridiculous.

Aaron Rodgers just clinched his Hall of Fame spot next to Brady and Manning.

So the two game Divisional lead I expected Dallas to enjoy after today remains a one game lead, and it very well could be tied. Two games head to head with NY remaining, I really wanted that extra game cushion.

Rodgers…dayum.

They’re saying head injury for Charles Woodson. If he’s out for significant time, given how thin they already are in the secondary… damn, that’s problematic.

Worst day this year for the Raiders. They played like shit, and their two division rivals both won. I don’t plan to watch next week, can only take one train wreck every few weeks or so.

If by some stroke of luck the Patriots and the Packers wind up in the Super Bowl together, it’ll probably wind up being something like 73-70.

-Every NFC East team lost this week

-Mat Stafford looks like a Goon. Seriously, if that guy is a troll over on SA, I wouldn’t be surprised.
