Wow. That sure looked like a touchdown by Jimmy Graham to me. Were the refs told to make this the worst game of the day?
That was a very quick review for the Locker touchdown.

Miles!!
(Just prepping for the Dallas-NYG game.)
Also, that Fletcher call was pathetic, his forearm was nowhere near Brady’s head, he was going for the ball.

Not only that, it seemed pretty clear to me that he didn’t break the plane with the ball, didn’t even seem close. Very odd. I’ve seen them take minutes to review a very simple run play up the middle that was clearly a touchdown, yet this one they gave a quick “meh, he was probably in” and moved on.

So close for the Redskins.
Absolutly idiotic play from the Lions defensive player.
It gave up one yard, with no other consequences. And yeah, you don’t want to lose that yard, but it’s hardly the end of the world.
There is something fitting about the game ending with the Vikings losing it on a turnover, though.
It’s poor discipline, and against a more savvy quarterback than Joe Webb it would have bit them in the ass.
As it was, it didn’t.

Go, Go, you Fighting Tebows!
The Denver-Chicago game is shaping up to be one for the purists.

Dammit Ted Ginn why must you suck as a receiver but be awesome as a return man?
Holy crap did the lions ever try to give that one away. That was nuts.

I guess I’m one of those people you seem to derisively consider a purist. I enjoy a high scoring offensive game as much as the next guy (or girl), especially when it is clear that the defense on both sides are good. Sometimes games turn into score-fests, be it by offense, special teams, turnovers, it just gets out of control and it is fun to watch.
The flipside of that coin is what we purists can also enjoy, an ugly, slobberknocking, game where both teams are determined to not give an extra inch to anyone, the offense for both teams go into smashmouth mode, and it looks like 1958 football. Ugly, I admit. But still enjoyable if you aren’t hooked on the no defense-all offense style of play.
I actually enjoyed the ugliest phase of the NBA when they played hard defense and it shut down the scoring, 80-75 games were cool to me because guys were actually trying to stop the offense instead of giving up a layup easily so they could break back down the court quickly.
I guess I’m saying I like both kinds of games, maybe its the non-purists that need to learn to appreciate what’s happening in a given game.

It was, wasn’t it? If I didn’t know better I’d say the refs were trying to hand Tennessee the game after Hasselbeck got injured. Prior to that they were making BS calls left AND right, then every call went against the Saints. I’m not sure but I think NO had more penalties today than they’ve had in total this season. Brees getting called for moving his head half an inch on the hard count, two Holding calls that weren’t and some other stuff they didn’t dare to show a replay of.
That said, Robinson is the worst DB in the whole of the gawdam NFL. Why is he playing in every game? He’s close to costing Saints games every week and truth be told he could have gotten a pass interference call on the last play of the game, had there been any time left. Was he great when he was at Florida State? Right now I’m starting to sweat every time I see he’s on the field. He hasn’t even grasped the simple fact that when you’re a cornerback you’re supposed to contain outside runs. Thank heavens for Tracy Porter.
What the hell happened in the 49’ers-Cardinals game?

Oh what BS. Challenge after the snap, or at least it might’ve been. Then a problem with replay so the challenge doesn’t count. Geez.

So the Niners lose the TD, then miss the field goal and the Cards score a TD of their own. Thanks a lot refs.

I still have fond recollections of the Giants-49ers playoff game in 1990. That was brutally beautiful and very very violent.
