Steve Smith was saying something about it on the sideline, I think. Right before the Saints shoved 28 straight points up the Panthers’ asses.
Holy shit is Matt Flynn gonna make a mountain of money next year. Six fucking touchdowns, 480 yards.
He might be inadvertantly tanking Rodgers’ MVP bid :0
Did both defenses stay home in that GB-Det game? Both qbs almost hit 500 yards each. That is insane.
It must really gall some of the teams out there who have gone through 3/4/5 QBs this year to see Green Bay sitting on not just one, but two franchise QBs and refusing to share :)

Raiders have zero pass defense. No rush, no cover, but always the penalties. Always.
Well they do have that record they are going for this year having the most penalized team in the history of the NFL.
So will the Packers trade Flynn or is going to be a FA? They can get a bundle for him.

He doesn’t need to be the GM, he just has to have enough self-respect to refuse to let Jerry hire assistant coaches. Which probably means he wouldn’t sign with the Cowboys, because it’s pretty clear Parcells was an aberration and Jerry has no intention of letting football people make football decisions.
Gah. Future Washington Redskin perhaps…
Wow is Tampa really that bad? I know they were good last year but I havent payed much attention to them this year.
On another note, the Vikings can actually draft a franchise QB this year if they want to with the number 2 overall pick. Either Luck or Griffin will be there and I hope they don’t decide Ponder is the future for them and pass on a great QB.

Tampa looked like they might be good this year until they played the Niners and got absolutely destroyed. After that, they somehow managed to beat the Saints and then didn’t win another game. I don’t know of any significant injuries that caused the switch, it was just like they were reminded that they suck and then started playing like it.
Flynn is going to have a massive bidding war, because there are a ton of teams that need a QB and not many available. Half the teams in the west need a QB, plus a bunch of other teams around the league. There could easily be eight teams making a bid for him, without even getting to teams like the Niners and Chiefs who might be looking to upgrade.
The Rams have the second pick, not the Vikings. I imagine the scenario is the Rams will be looking to trade down. The Vikings at 3 have no guarantee some team won’t jump ahead of them to grab a QB.
That said, if I was a team I think I’d go after Flynn since he’s a FA.
Heh I was looking at the ESPN standings and for some reason they have Seattle listed twice and don’t have the rams listed at all so that is why I missed them having a worse record. In that case if there isn’t a QB avaliable at 3 they will roll the dice with Ponder for next year rather then pay big for a free agent qb yet again.

Ha, a Raider got flagged for a head shot and immediately after the announcer said “they’ll call that one every time” the ref announced that there was no penalty.

That might be something the Jags might have to think about too if RG3 drops to them. Or maybe even Jones if they’re really high on him. Gabbert is not looking good and just like Ponder they’re already sunk cost. At least with the rookie wage scale now they didn’t invest tens of million into them.
Ponder actually showed some decent games this year before he got hurt and it would be interesting to see how much he could progress with a real off season and training camp as the number 1 qb. Even with that if RG3 drops to them I think they would have to take him and then trade Ponder.
