I was going to suggest Eli Manning.

I’m thinking Woodhead.

Rob Gronkowski!

Cripes, are the Redskins going to win this? Fucking hell.

Hey NOOU, how’s your voice after that Peterson punt return?

Not only that, but the Giants are making Sexy Rexy look like an all pro…

Somehow, the Redskins are winning.

I can’t wait to watch this later and find out how.

Assuming this holds (a safe assumption), I will chalk it up to 1) all of the defensive injuries for the Giants and 2) the Redskins were due.

I dunno if the 49ers could have gotten a running TD even if Seattle had given them ANOTHER set of downs at the goal line. Pathetic.

Agree the injuries certainly contributed, but this doesn’t explain the Giants offense getting dominated in the second half, though. Skins defense played very well this half.

As a treat, viewers of the Redskins-Giants game are being now being shuffled to the 49ers-Seahawks game.

Redskins looked not too bad in the second half. The Reign of Rex begins successfully!

Ginn wtf

Another TD by Ted Ginn. They may have been conservative on offense but at least they got an explosive special teams so far.

Well, the fact that the rest of the NFC South lost today makes the Saints’ Thursday loss a lot easier to swallow!

I expected Seattle to lose this game, but the collapse of their special teams here late (after being shaky all game) is pretty pathetic. Especially since the team seemed to find its identity a bit in coming back to make it close at one point.

This is the kind of day that costs special teams coaches their jobs.

A bit rough after yelling "keep running you idiot!’

Stat of the day:

C. Newton: 422 yards passing
D. McNabb: 39 yards passing

Half the fans are happy and thinking playoffs, and the other half are wondering if their team can win 4 games this season. The NFL season has begun!

I’m happy with the win, but this game tells me nothing about the 49ers. Are the 49ers actually this good, or is Seattle really just this bad? The offense was pretty bland most of the game choosing to run the ball most of the time. Alex Smith looked like Alex Smith, nothing amazing but not horrible either. The Niners could make the playoffs this year, but that is due to being in the NFC West, which looks weaker than it did last year.

Well, add in:

R. Grossman: 305 yards passing
