There’s something else: By including rioting in racketeering laws, it actually permits police to arrest those who are planning events. And Kavanagh, a former police officer, said if there are organized groups, “I should certainly hope that our law enforcement people have some undercover people there.’’
Welcome back to the days of the Hoover FBI. I fucking hate this state, but my wife refuses to move. Irreconcilable differences? :)
There was some similar but not quite as evil (though obviously awful) legislation here in MN which I believe died in the Legislature (not that Dayton would sign it in any case).
The upshot was that it would allow cities/counties to sue protesters to cover the costs of the extra policing required to police the lawful assembly of people exercising their Constitutional rights.
Absolute nonsense at even the most cursory of considerations, but hey. That’s pretty much the GOP tagline these days.
My wife has a PhD and works for a multi national company. In theory, we have the option to move to Switzerland, and she keeps asking me if we should move. I keep saying no because a) living in CA is already the best state in the US to resist Trump, and b) nuclear fallout ignores international borders.
Perhaps they like these things but that doesn’t mean they want to share. There is an exclusivity to 4chan and once drugs are public, it’s no longer a cool thing. Hell around here, the group consuming it the most is 60+, aka the retirees.
I’m not talking about who you visual see at the shops. You can find a number of articles basically debunking the idea that the teens would all light up to our greatest fears! and it’s really our parents enjoying it again. The teens smoking, they were already smoking at this point, and it’s not legalized for the kids that weren’t.
Then again, I do live in a retiree heavy area, it could be unique to these two counties. I suspect Portland would trend young, for example.
Oh yeah that group is probably enjoying it too. The huge fear was teens, and those teens were sucking up cigarettes already. I was very disappointed to see smoking rates on the rise.
My wife works at a long term care facility / nursing home in Seattle. Lootttttttts of old people smoking up or getting edibles, regardless of whether they need it for medical purposes.
