nope.

4.2 million total sell through as of December 28th - CES 2014 Sony Keynote

Yup. Amazing.

Wonder how they’re doing with software attach. I’m still completely uninterested in the machine.

I believe BF4, NFS:Rivals, and AC4 have sold better on PS4 than XB1. CoD I think is very close, not sure which came out in front there.

I certainly expected cross platform to do well on the PS4 comparably thanks to the first party Sony releases

The new Killzone has reportedly crossed 1 million sold a while ago, too. I guess it’s a standard choice since there isn’t much else at the moment!

They also announced their streaming solution: PlayStation Now.

PS4, PS3, PS Vita, TVs, tablets, and smartphones.

They just put out a PR saying over 9.7 million games sold, so that’s just over 2-1 attach.

Apparently its not a real world test of the Gaikai stuff as the server is local. I want to see a guy pick up a Vita and play Last of US smoothly from a server that’s several hundred miles away across an Internet connection.

PS4 software sales remained strong through the holiday season with more than 9.7 million* copies sold in retail stores worldwide and through digital downloads on PlayStation®Store. A few of the top selling games included Call of Duty®: Ghosts from Activision, Assassin’s Creed®IV Black Flag™ from Ubisoft, Battlefield 4™ and FIFA 14 from Electronic Arts Inc., and Killzone™ Shadow Fall from Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios (SCE WWS).

Many PS4 owners have quickly taken advantage of the features and benefits of the PlayStation®Plus (PS Plus) membership service. Global PS Plus subscriptions have increased by more than 90% since the PS4 launch.

Pretty impressive.

Well, yeah. That was always the downfall of previous efforts in the game streaming area.

To be fair, as shitty as OnLive was for me, it did work. Not well, but it worked.

This from Twitch:

Broadcasting your gameplay from a PlayStation 4 to Twitch only takes a couple of clicks, so it’s no surprise that one of our biggest console streaming spikes has been right after its launch and following Christmas. In fact, between December 23, 2013, and January 3, 2014, 20% of Twitch’s broadcasters were from the PlayStation 4.

the other 80% were still League of Legends players

No surprise, but it’s pretty clear from the way they’ve worded that announcement that your PSN games on PS3 and Vita don’t carry over.

If this lets me play Dark Souls and Demon’s Souls without needing old hardware around, I’m in.

Ps4 outsells bone

Wonder what the MS response will be…

Eh? The real-world use-case for this is, as I said aaages ago on here, LAN-level sharing.

They had their announcement hours before Sony’s presentation.

“Over 3 million” Xbox One consoles sold to customers in 2013.

At $100 more per console, that’s respectable.

It also appears that the only MLB game available will be on the PS4.
