I have access to about 80 games through Playstation Plus. As long as you purchased the game (for free) and have PSN Plus, you can play and download the game, and not just in the month its released on PSN Plus.

I’ve got access to 3 right now as I just joined. How do you gain access to games released prior to your membership?

Edit: Looks like you can’t. So my original musings still don’t seem analogous to a Playstation Plus membership to me.

That of course depends on how long you have been a member. The longer you’ve been a member, the more games you have access to. I’m merely trying to clarify how it works, since you seemed unclear on it.

Bought a PS4, please add me! tromsky/Tom Ross. I didn’t have a PS3 and the few friends of mine that have dived into this generation stuck with the Xbox, so my friends list is completely empty. It’s/I’m starting to get lonely.

Edit: On the 360 there were a bunch of fake Qt3 friends that were friends with a bunch of other Qt3ers. I think they were by category, like Qt3Shooter, or something like that. Has anyone done anything like that for PSN?

Sony just announced PS4 sold 18.5M consoles to consumers by the end of 2014, including 4.1M just from November 23rd through the end of the year.

That’s pretty much what I was predicting all year and despite the Xbox One’s discount related surge in the US, should maintain their 2:1 sales advantage Worldwide.

I just put the cheap PS4 mono earbud/mic into my ear and it doesn’t fit very well. Is there a decent headset under $100 that I’m likely to find in a Bestbuy or EB? In the meantime, this looks like a standard 3.5mm headphone jack so does an iPhone headset work? Can a headset pump out all game audio and chat at the same time? When I play stuff late I generally use big hifi muffs out of consideration for my neighbours and the people above / below me.

You can get the Playstation Gold Wireless headset for just under $100. Great unit, the only caveat being that the 7.1 only works with the PS3 and PS4.

It just says ‘tromsky’ on the friend request - I know there’s another level for Real Name Requests but I’m not nearly as familiar w/ PSN as I am with Xbox Live.

Tonight, I had to resort to googling for “how to eject disc from PS4.” All my games are digital and I put in a disc months ago.
