Does Vita even allow playing background music while playing games?
According to the official Sony FAQ, yes Vita supports background music…from Music Unlimited. Odd. Even odder, Music Unlimited is not supported on the PS TV!
I know that the hold-PS-button-down popup has music control button and volume; must be for stored mp3s and the music app.

Does this mean that we can play audio CDs on PS4s now?

Spotify does not have anything to do with Audio CD’s.
Spotify only supports cassette tapes and vinyl.

You obviously didn’t actually try it on a Vita, which I did before I posted. You get a “Download Spotify” button on the home page, and then when you go to the download page it says it’s not available for your platform and gives you a bunch of tips on how to get Spotify running on Linux…
IAP for Dolby B/C and 45rpm support.
Wierd. Oh well, guess it won’t work at all then!

Of course not! Who the hell owns a Vita?
Err, so yeah, I missed the point of the discussion and jumped in at the end.
Well…I note I didn’t PAY for it, it came with some work I did. For the Vita.
(Which never got published, but that’s a long story)

Trying to build my friend’s list for PS4. Sent everyone I recognize on the old list for gamer tags but see a lot of people missing from that Google docs. Please friend me if you didn’t get a request already. Cheers!

Sony announced 20.2 million units sold-through (that’s to end users) of the PS4 worldwide since launch.
“We are so grateful for the enormous support from PlayStation® fans worldwide, and we are truly humbled that gamers around the globe have continued to select PS4 as the best place to play,” said Andrew House, President and Global CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. “We remain steadfast in our commitment to deliver unique and interactive entertainment experiences powered by the network and the PS4 system’s deep social capabilities.”
To my great surprise my wife loves the PS4. It’s like storied gaming finally makes sense to her as a form of entertainment . Very good to keep her occupied while I was sick this month. She’s also very addicted to one of those time based free-to-play games so not sure if this new push is perfectly good or not.
Hasn’t been a problem for me so far. Killzone and a couple of other PS4 games don’t allow saving your progress during levels, so I just turn off auto-off so that the console stayed on for weeks at a time until I finished each game.
i didn’t know if I sounded stupid so I’d edited my post heh. Good to know its ok. I had 2 Xbox 360’s die so I wasn’t sure what kind of issues console norms should be.

Nice - there is hope it will come to Denmark as well then , since HBO Nordic is owned by HBO America! Currently I have to retain my old Xbox 360 for this purpose alone, since I have no other options to view HBO.

So I’m seriously considering joining the current console generation for the first time, thanks to the imminent launch of Bloodborne and the upcoming return of Rock Band. I haven’t followed releases all that closely, so how happy are you guys with yours and what else should I know about it? In particular:
-Any other standout exclusives? I mainly game on PC, but it would be an easier sell with a few more options to round it out.
-Anything particularly great for same-couch play with kids? I have a 5-year-old, and that’s one niche that consoles are particularly suited for.
-How is it as a media streaming player compared to PS3? Ours gets plenty of use in that capacity, but it’s a bit unreliable, particularly in the Hulu app.
-I see the current bundle is with The Last of Us Remastered. Fry’s currently has a deal that throws in a 1-year PS+ subscription with that for $399. Is that about the best deal that typically pops up or should I hold out for something better?
Thanks!
