My PS4 Pro is sadly gathering dust. Too much competition for my time from PC and Switch. I still have Horizon Zero Dawn sitting unopened, the horror.
Since not needing to monopolize the TV is a contributing factor for the Switch appeal, I really ought to look more into PS4 remote play on the iPad Pro (or something).
So, what were the seven games?

From what I see on Eurogamer, they announced:
Guacamelee 2
Loco Roco 2
Spelunky 2
Ghost of Tsushima (sucker punch’s new game)
Blood and Truth
Concrete Genie
Onrush
But Onrush is not a Sony exclusive and I’d be surprised if the Spelunky and Guacamelee sequels were either.

Hm. I never saw any claim that they would be PS exclusives, just “new.” Those were the 7 titles I saw articles for on Eurogamer.
I was just looking to clarify. The definition of exclusivity has become quite fluid of late.
Spelunky 2 is coming to PS4 and Steam “first”, so some kind of limited console exclusivity I suppose.
Yeah, looks like Guacamelee says the same.
Thanks. Not interested in the first 3 at all, but after Infamous Second Son, I’m interested in Sucker Punch’s new game, whatever they make. So I’ll have to check out Ghost of Tsushima’s trailer.
Looks like Onrush is the new game by former Motorstorm team, so that could be good or bad. Screenshot I saw makes it look very much like Motorstorm.
Concrete Genie is an adventure game about bringing paintings to life? That could be cool I suppose.
Blood & Truth is a PSVR game? Pass. No wait, I should give it a chance. Let’s see, it’s by the studio that did The Getaway? HARD PASS. :P The most boring GTA 3 clone I’ve ever played.

I use Remote Play on my MacBook Pro on a regular basis. It works amazingly well for me, but I do have my PS4 on Gigabit Ethernet and my laptop on 802.11ac.

And the brand new PSVR/GTS Bundle at $299 has the moldy old no-HDR-passthrough PSVR. :(
You have to get the $349 Skyrim bundle at $349 to get the new headset. (And the unimpressive Move controllers.)
Still, Skyrim in VR sounds fun. But I just need to keep telling myself I still have a massive Oculus backlog.
I’ll try to hold buying of as many games as possible until December and the 12 days of Christmas sale, there were loads of good games for great prices last year, if I remember correctly.
Wish all my friends and family could decide on noting buying each other gifts, and I could spend all the intended gift money on that instead! :D
I highly recommend passing on the old PSVR for that reason. It’s a real pain - was more manageable when there were just a couple of HDR games like Uncharted 4 and Horizons, but now that they are becoming the norm I just leave my PSVR in a box. Very disappointed that Sony was unable to update its PSVRs without requiring a repurchase.
I will probably get Skyrim and DOOM though, unless the VR versions are terribly reviewed. Waiting and seeing on Skyrim, in particular, as buzz seems mixed.
I’m very curious about the reception of these two games as well. As far as I know, these are the first full AAA VR games, kind of. Everyone sings the praises of Robo Recall, but from what I understand, that’s a pretty short VR experience and leaves people wanting more.
Though I suppose you could count DiRT Rally and Elite Dangerous.
You’re forgetting Resident Evil 7, although that’s not my sort of game.

Well, if I decide I really want it I’ve got the go ahead from my wife to get the PS4 + 2 games for Christmas. The first game is definitely Horizon Zero Dawn. I’m not sure what the second one should be…
My guts says it should be 1 of these two:
Uncharted 4: I’ve played the first 2 and like the characters and cinematics. Some of the shooty parts can drag on for too long.
Bloodbourne: I love Dark Souls, but I’ve heard this is faster paced. That is a turn off to me. Also, I’m in it mostly for the single player but in DS2 & 3 I did end up embracing some of the online PvP elements.
Some others that seems worthy are:
Everybody’s Golf: I do like golf games but am worried this one my be too easy. Also I have The Golf Club 2 on PC so not sure I need another one.
Driveclub: I’ve always enjoyed games like Forza Horizon. I’m in in mostly for single player racing and leader board chase, and if they have challenges to beat, I don’t care if I have an open world to drive around in. I do have Forza Horizon 3 and The Crew, so not sure if I need another.
MLB The Show I’ve played a couple versions on the PS3 and like them, but I usually play for a bit and then not touch it again.
Last of Us 2: I know I will want this when it comes out. I could wait and use it as one of my 2 choices or just wait until another occasion like next Christmas or my birthday in August.
Did I miss any real good PS4 exclusives? I’m not into multiplayer shooters or JRPGs. I’ll search online some to see if I can find any others. I’m only interested in exclusives because I prefer PC gaming.
I would recommend getting the Uncharted Collection which is remastered for PS4. I’d recommend at the least playing through U3 for the plot points before playing Uncharted 4.
I would not wait for Last of Us 2. They haven’t even hinted at a release date other than “2018”.

Diablo 3 is arguably better on the PS4, if you’re into that.
I’d put Uncharted/Horizon/TLoU kinda all in the same boat. Even though there are huge differences thematically, in practice they in many ways have a lot in common, and maybe you might want something different.
Have you played GTA V? That game is quite an accomplishment in world building, and first few hours of the story are pretty good as well. Then, if you get bored, you can go online and drive fast cars and shoot people randomly for hours on end (yes, you won’t do this, but GTA V is nothing but GTA online now).
If your funds are tight, you might gamble on getting the PS4 Plus service for a year instead. Everyone month you can download a couple of games for free. Sure, it’s a grab bag, and sure, it’s unlikely to be things selling well still, but there’s a lot of gaming to be had for $60 over a year.
There are also a lot of FtP games available on PS4, if you have time and not money.
If you’re family/wife gaming, rather than just you gaming, you might consider getting Until Dawn. It’s a by the numbers sort of thing, but a lot of people seem to like it. There’s of course another franchise you can get, but you don’t have to ask me which one that is if you’ve read anything ive written over the last couple years ;).
