Okay, so NFS Rivals may not be the best racing game ever but for me it’s damned close. It’s like Most Wanted, The Run and TDU had a baby and the result is sweet racing bliss. Tomb Raider finally has some competition for GOTY.

I dunno about that, but it sure is fun. I haven’t enjoyed driving so fast and crazy in a game for quite a while.

I am glad I got it earlier though, because where will the fun go when EA shuts down the online component in a year or whatever?

My kids cannot kick enough robots in the face. No matter how many times they boot a robot on to the screen, it’s just as funny as the last time.

It really is great isn’t it? They did such a fantastic job, and I love the risk/reward dynamic with heat levels and multipliers. I’ve had many a good run up to heat level 6 and couldn’t hang on long enough to get back to a hideout.

And I totally feel like Mad Max playing as a cop ; )

My son hit a spike strip 28/30 miles into the Grand Tour event last night and got busted.

So BF4 on PS4 actually makes the PC version look solid and bug free. It really is a mess and unplayable at this time. I had my save file corrupted 3 times now so apparently you have about a 0% chance of actually finishing the campaign for the unlocks before you get your save corrupted. You can only join certain smaller game types in multiplayer and expect to get disconnected at anytime for no reason. So really there are no aspects of the game that I would even call playable at the moment.

Remote Play works great for me at home. I haven’t been able to get it working from work or even my guest Wifi network. I opened ports on my router for the PS4 and even put it in the DMZ.

The Vita spins for a couple of minutes then gives up. Whatever mechanism Sony is using to match my PS4 to my external IP doesn’t seem to be working.

Yeah, it’s pretty nice. It could use some tweaks for performance and things, but for a first release it actually works well.

Gamestop announcements should be mostly ignored in general though because they tend to drum up inflate numbers because interest in consoles is good for the business and, well, good for the stock price. Remember when they said that so-and-so number of Wii Us were pre-ordered last year? And when the Wii U didn’t sell anywhere that well (across ALL retail outlets), it all of a sudden was about people who may have “expressed interest in purchasing the console” or something.
