Rented this on a whim and it turned out to be really interesting. Anyone else see it?
Crazy story all in all, and its true!
I know it had massive production issues, as the film’s financiers refused to expand the budget for a crucial location shoot at Oxford, and Gibson’s Apocalypto collaborator Farhad Safinia lost final cut, leading to the creative team disowning the film. Despite the overwhelmingly negative reception I want to see it. The ever inconsistent John Boorman co-wrote the screenplay, which is enough for me to check it out.
