Maybe a price cut around Christmas time, when the Xbox One X launches. Why would they do one now?

I didn’t think they would do it now, but there were a lot of posts in here. Apparently all about whether or not hardware makes better games or not.

If the hardware is the same and you increase the clockspeed then yes, certainly. So far Microsoft hasn’t released any specs on the XboneX’s CPU cores, so we don’t know that they’re crappy Jaguars. They could be Ryzen. I doubt it, but it’s possible.

We know for sure they are Jaguar based, MS has admitted as much, but they haven’t said anything more than they made “customizations”. Of course it would have required customization just to bring it down to the new process node and integrate with GDDR5 so there’s really no reason to believe these customization are any more extensive than what was done for the PS4 Pro.
