lol I need to try out a tapestry these things look so fun

Very interesting when someone asks for advice from everyone then ignores it! ++ suspicion points. Why didn’t you want jostly or ankamela to verify your ID? It was the logical move.

EDIT - s/jostly/clyve, read that wrong, it was clyve that suggested it

It would have been ankamela or jostly.

Technically, this works fine for me. just like I suggested, someone on the team can be identified by kl3m

Isn’t overheard conversation limited to adjacent players?

I thought he was… Did I write the list down incorrectly?

But then I’d have to trust Kl3m, a problem I would not have had, had I had the fortune to have the card myself. :)

No, I mean this card assignment by Rob, means the card can’t be used to verify Rob. Why would a leader not want to begin by demonstrating loyalty?Deeply suspicious!

Yeah, there’s no reason not to use to verify his loyalty then assign the other two cards. Assigning them all at once seems really shady, especially not verifying his loyalty.

If he gives it to jostly or anklanama (I’ll learn your name eventually!), then they confirm he’s Good - he then knows they told the truth. Giving it to someone else with absolutely no information makes no sense.

Word! Plus, I’m now suspicious of the card recipients. This is either an evil move, or it is a very bad move for a loyal knight, as it can’t help but sow dissent.

All right then – Kl3mnop, would you like to overhear the conversation of Christien Murawski or clyve?

If it’s not me, the game just got much easier.

Hi, annie! :)

I think my play here is pretty obviously to request to see clyve’s allegiance (based on rob’s new proposal to send a team of rob+jostly+clyve) but if there are any compelling arguments to look at x-tien, I am open to hear them. As it is approaching late evening in the UK I won’t deliberate too long so that rob can properly propose a team based on whatever I am able to report.

Meh. Had rob given the card to annie or jostly I would have held a suspicion about the convenience of getting to choose someone to look at him. It was pretty bad luck, all things considered, to get this card in the first draw. I think this card would have been a lot more useful (both in distribution and usage) after Quest 1, at least.

Why the change of heart? Earlier you said that randomly tossing the card down the list “helps little” but now you’re ok with it. rob already said he was likely going with scott and ankamalana so this makes no sense. kl3m learns nothing about a potential questing knight.

This response can’t help but increase suspicion.

I figured identifying anyone on the team would be fine. He seemed reluctant to use it on himself, so if it gets used on someone else we can be fairly certain that person is fine… If Rob is evil, he’s obviously not interested in outing evil. Just because he’s using the card in a way I think is good for us, doesn’t mean I trust him any more.

I don’t remember feeling this much paranoia in the last few games… We are in for trouble.

Or as I like to think; this game already delivers.

It’s not a game of Resistance if I haven’t accused at least 70% of the participants of being Evil at least once :D Being Oberon to start last game gave me some great insight into how much strategy can go into seemingly random plot card distributions.

@scott

We had a very similar situation recently where Dave (batting lead-off, ironically) was in position to give someone a card that would establish trust…which that person then used to validate Dave. They both immediately came under suspicion for EVIL collusion. You can “increase suspicion” on me for describing it if you like but it doesn’t change the fact that we have recent precedent of it happening. (Hell, rowe33 led the charge…and he was basically railing against Merlin!)

I will also stand by the assertion that such a powerful card is wasted having to be played with absolutely zero intel to work off of other than one player’s actions. We have zero votes. We barely, kindasorta have a proposed team. We certainly don’t have Quest results, positive or negative.
