Omg. So sorry. Annie voted yes.

That makes it

7 YES
3 NO

Rowe, does that change your division about the use of your card?

Nope, still holding onto it but now feeling a little better about it!

Unexpected but I’m glad to see it! At least one Evil voted for this party though so that’s a bit worrisome - I think we have a solid threesome though. If not, the card lies in wait…

Yeah, I think your number is 3 or 4. But, sure, “at least one”. That’ll work.

Who do you suspect are the 3-4 Evil out of the 7 YES votes?

All right! As rowe will not be nullifying this quest team…
Quest team members Annie, Scott, and rowe33, please send me your SUPER SECRET PRIVATE votes.

Just a reminder that this quest needs one Failure vote to fail. Good players must vote Success. Evil players may choose to vote Success or Failure.

I think it is quite interesting how the narrative of the Team 1 vote immediately went to “No = GOOD; Yes = EVIL”. All because there was a 6/4 split in addition to rob’s initial card distro.

But if you allow yourself the notion that Team 1 was a GOOD team then the narrative of those votes changes pretty dramatically. Considering that Team 1 had 1/3 declared GOOD and Team 2 has 0/3 confirmed anything…OK…

Since jostly and scottagibson immediately (and I mean immediately…within minutes, if not seconds, of fire’s posting) defined the discussion there was never any meaningful discourse on what the votes might have meant as those under attack went on the defensive, myself included, and the entire focus became finger-pointing/back-pointing.

jostly’s NO vote on Team 1 is especially curious and came under zero scrutiny (which is the advantage of going on the attack first, I guess, and well-played by jostly.) ***Edit: Neither did clyve’s, but since I felt personally attacked by jostly he’s the one that stood out to me.

Fortunately this is a game where, ultimately, actions speak louder than words. This Team goes, we get a result and scottagibson distributes cards…cards that hopefully improve our information. But, at the least, the Quest result and subsequent card distro will be instructive.

Why is my vote on the first team especially curious? I voted no, as I have explained, because I felt the card distribution was strange and was afraid it meant rob was evil. If that’s my suspicion, wouldn’t it be even more curious to approve of the team?

I’m happy to approve of team I have no particular suspicion of, like the current one, but I’m not going to approve one where I believe there are evil aboard.

Like you I look forward to the result of this mission, and affirming or rejecting theories based on the results. Talk, after all, is cheap.

Thanks Kl3m, it really sucks coming under attack and being on the defensive as I well know from past games! I still believe rob’s got to be Evil based on the early events, even despite his vote on party 2. I could be totally wrong but I’m going with it for now. He could have pinned some suspicion on you with the card play intentionally, it’s just too hard to tell early on.

Waiting to see how the quest turns out and what cards come up. Hopefully we’ll be looking for one more possibly Goode knight to add on!

You’re GOOD. clyve is GOOD. You have a team that you know is 2/3 GOOD. You vote NO.

annie is UNKNOWN. scottagibson is UNKNOWN. rowe33 is UNKNOWN. You know 0/3 are GOOD. Now you vote YES.

For clyve I am also surprised that he voted NO on Team 1. But in his case he only had a 1/3 certainty of the Team composition. Same as me and rob.

What part of suspicion am I failing to communicate properly? On the first team, the only sure thing I knew was that I was good. I suspected, based on the card distribution, that rob was evil. I furthermore suspected, if a bit weaker that you were, since I figured someone evil would give the OC card to someone else evil. Therefore I did not know at all that clyve is good, though I had no reason to suspect him, so that had him at unknown.

So in my view, the first team contained good, unknown and evil. No way I would approve of that, based on what I believed at that time. I don’t know how much clearer I can put this.

jostly, I am not necessarily looking for you to discuss it further. Obviously you have stated your reasons. I am expressing my frustration that it did not generally come under the discussion of all.

Whenever this game starts people talk about the information that will be gained from votes and the value of having discussion…and then…not so much.

Given the standard playbook for Quest 1 coupled with the presence of Keeping an Eye on You I don’t think any composition of Quest 1 Team was at risk. So I think you stood to be able to safely pass Quest 1 while possibly getting a bonus to learn for yourself something even more definitive. Of 10 players only four knew ANYTHING about Team 1 definitively. Only 1 (you) knew two pieces of information. Therefore I do read a lot into your vote and would have expected it to come under more group scrutiny.

I like how those of us on this quest are unknown but clyve & you (by extension) are known to be GOOD.

And of course it’s rob’s own fault that he only has 1/3 certainty…he could have gained a little trust in someone by opening up to jostly or annie and having them confirm he’s Good (trust in rob for everyone!) but we’ve been over that ad nauseam.

I unscrambled all of the bolded and ALL CAPS words that have been passing forth between people lately, and the decoded message says:

jostly you keeping vote success on an next mission kl3mnop eye oberon

Why is this not on a tapestry?!

So, tensions are running high while we are waiting for the questers to come back. Maybe we need some help to relax. Thankfully, I’ve found this tapestry that explains how to relax in the court of King Arthur.

So good. :)
