Dissimilar roads forked in a yellow wood
And sorry Knights could not have traveled both:
Though long they pondered, arguing, they stood:
Left was certain failure, right was good.
They argued long and hard but then decided
That finger-pointing breeds contempt, dissolves the team.
Camelot could not stand thus divided!
They ventured right: by intuition guided.
And right they went! And ne’er in duress
Could such a team return with such success.
Quest the First was successful!
The team:
Annie (team leader), Scott, rowe33
The votes:
Success, Success, Success

Christien Murawski holds Keeping a close eye on you.
Christien, do you wish to use your card at this time to view a submitted Quest vote?
This still fuckin cracks me up so much.

scottagibson, please consider the following plot cards as part of Quest the Second:
Establish Confidence
No Confidence
Opinion Maker
As order matters, please apply or distribute these cards one at a time.
Establish Confidence means I have to reveal my alignment to another player, right?
I’m open to suggestions from the team as to who I should reveal to.
(These are not great cards…)

I agree, they’re not. As for to whom to reveal, I think one good course of action would be to reveal within the already successful team. Why? Because there’s already been some chatter trying to sow distrust of the people who was on the team, and you especially. I expect it to continue shortly with “well, someone on the team could have been evil and just voted success this time”. But that can be weathered as long as the three of you keep trusting each other. Sure, if you were to establish confidence with me, that’d be great too, obviously :) but I think it’d be worth more from someone who has a proven success mission.

Agreed that these aren’t as good as I hoped…bleh. I’m assuming scott is Good from his conclusions in-thread + the fact he voted SUCCESS. I’d appreciate knowing 100% that he’s Good but not the best play for the group as I already trust him (and no one has any particular reason to trust me other than my vote on the quest.)
EC with Annie? She seems to believe he’s Good already (2 stars) so not sure how much it would help. It would let her 100% know his loyalty but not sure if it’s the best play.
We need to add one more member to the party for Quest 2 so would it help to EC with whomever that might be? jostly? clyve? Even Kl3m? Kl3m’s been your biggest critic so far so that’d be an early triggercut moment if you’re both Good and didn’t know it! rob? He voted for this party after his early possibly accidental antics. But if he’s Good then my reasons for mistrusting Kl3m go away, except for the odd ‘mix it up’ idea and pro-Blips card stance. Don’t know if this is the best play either as even if you accidentally EC with an Evil player, they’d likely report you as Good to confuse things (and get in the next party to potentially fail it.) Maybe not terribly bad as we have a card that can see how a knight voted but we’d be even in quests again.
So not really sure…I’m definitely interested in hearing what everyone has to say on it though. Dave? Christien? rob? etc?

In the interest of transparency, I’ll accept the Opinion Maker card.
Scott, you should play your Establish Confidence card on Clyve. As we know, Kl3mnop gained knowledge of Clyve’s alignment through the use of the Overhear Conversation. Kl3mnop reported that Clyve is good, but we cannot yet trust that statement. Hopefully by building upon that relationship we’ll be able to gain further insight either now or in the turns to come.
Okay, I think that the default play is - give Establish Confidence to the person as soon after you in the order that you believe to be on the same side as you.
But those immediately following you are the great unknowns of Blips & Dave. The only person that definitely learns something is the person to whom you give the card. You (Scott) might or might not learn something from what he says about your alignment. The rest of us get another dose of FUD (fear, uncertainty & doubt - IBM’s hardware selling strategy).
I think that you either choose Blips, because he is next in line, or rowe33 because he was on the success team with you and will likely get a shot at picking team 3 (if not team 2). Going up the order to Annie does not help you as much. The other way to go (as per rowe33’s musings) is to pick on the new knight that you plan to have in team 2 (assuming you are including the whole of team 1). That might be Christien, clyve or jostly. I don’t have a favourite for you from those three.
I finally have time to participate today beyond the occasional absvrd tapestry. I’ve been paying attention enough so that I am not voting like a fool, at least.
But this morning I shall begin my Notes and Everything!
I would like to Establish Confidence with jostly.
As to reasons: I already suspect jostly is good based on Rob’s decision not to gift him with Overheard Conversation. I believe the same about Annie of course, and it has been confirmed in my mind by her choice of team and the team success. So I’m revealing myself to jostly, for him to report, as a way of increasing my confidence in him.
