Right, Assassin here and about to be gone for ten hours. Sorry about the time squeeze, straight into what I remember and on return will read through from last success quest. Comments usually relate to the character not the player …
~ jostly - my first and early suspicion, you always remember the first one, but I think he voted no to quest with Blips so either thought Blips might be evil or that was a Merlin-stab-deflectiion ruse
~ Annie - did a couple of Merlinesque things but that was all she did (had to do)
~ Dave - did not figure much but by the time he arrived back from the pleasure dome there was no need, default choice though if only for the laughs and to see if he can really can link to a post under fire
~ Scott - despite all the public logic and accuracy I am not feeling him as Merlin for some reason (probably that will be the UK decency laws)
~ rowe33 - an enigma hiding in plain sight, as with jostly displayed some apparent fallibility, but does not feel right as Merlin
When I started writing jostly was my favourite. But now - didn’t he do an early “-1 suspicion on clyve” type thing? How subtle is a jostly when he isn’t trying to get you to come up and look at his tapestries? Sheesh. Befuddled. Rowe or Scott (Merlin appearing as a logician or Pefceval) after all? Anyway, got to mount my trusty steed now - will read through comments on return, get out my lance and stab with considered abandon …
Wait. Please just choose. Ten hours is way outside our time limit. fire started our deliberations at 5pm PST. We have twelve hours after that, which expires in four hours or so.
So there’s not gonna be time for more recommendations in ten hours!

I’ll be sitting the next one out. I think it’s good for the soul to take a break. Of course when all you ever do is play EVIL your soul needs a lot of regeneration. [emoji48]

As someone who is also in an European timezone, I think we should extend the limit so that rob gets his opportunity. 12 hours limit can strike really badly if the clock starts ticking just as one has signed off for the night.
Too bad this argument didn’t fly when I was trying to defend some of rob’s actions in-game. I think in some instances he was, in fact, trying to take actions to keep the game moving as he was approaching a personal blackout period (overnight).
I don’t think that Rob sleeps.

As it is I am back earlier than the ten hours I said so let’s get this done. I have now read my fellow travellers’ comments and we are clearly agreed that Merlin is one of the good characters. Beyond that, not so much. The biggest problem is that Merlin did not have to do much.
I think I drop Blips, Scott & jostly. No point in picking Dave and depriving him of getting maximum pleasure if he is Merlin. So it’s Annie or rowe33. If Annie was Merlin then she was a very quiet Merlin - but would have seen that there was no need to chip in. She did pop up with that thumbs up graphic for Scott. Rowe33 is always very present so that would be the case whether he was Merlin or not.
Okay. I want to show that I am an Equal Opportunities Assassin that always abides by Health & Safety. So it’s Annie. Her shameful, and frankly insulting, fish tapestry seals the deal. I have informed fire in triplicate as per PAP - Professional Assassin Practice. I await the result with unwarranted hope.
